Description/Job Summary
JOB SUMMARY:
We're looking for an enthusiastic dishwasher to join our cafeteria team. You'll perform general sanitation duties - maintain the cleanliness and sanitation of the kitchen by efficiently cleaning pots, pans, serving utensils, trays, dishes, stainless steel, and kitchen equipment.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
Must be available Monday-Friday, 5:30am-2:00pm
Ability to perform a variety of tasks associated with the sanitation and cleanliness of the kitchen.
Maintain proper cleaning standards within a food service environment.
Knowledge of sanitation standards.
Must follow set procedures in accomplishing repetitive assignments and follow established sequence of work.
Clean and sanitize all non-food contact and food contact surfaces.
Sweep and mop floors throughout the shift to keep it free of spills and debris.
Must be punctual and have solid work ethics.
Must be able to pass a background check.
EXPERIENCE:
Demonstrated history of related food service.GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
The principal responsibility of the dishwasher is to ensure the proper cleaning and maintenance of the kitchen and dining facility in accordance with the contract requirements.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Clean, sanitize and dust all stainless-steel counters, shelves, equipment, pots, pans, serving trays, utensils and kitchen equipment.
Ensure that all facility floors are free of debris/swept throughout the shift and mopped at the end of each shift.
Kitchen - properly wash, peel, scrape, cut vegetables, fruits and protein. Prepare items based off of daily production sheet.
Replenishes - sanitation buckets, paper towels, soap, and chemicals at the beginning of each shift ..
Remove all dishes from the collection station and wash according to contract requirements.
Team player in the dishroom throughout the shift to support business needs.
Clean other kitchen equipment daily and weekly basis.
Assists with deliveries - receive and unload to designated areas (dry storage, walk-in cooler, walk-in freezer, shelves etc.) using the FIFO system.
Properly remove and dispose of trash in food service areas at the end of each shift..
Workstations - proper opening, restocking, closing, cleaning and setup of stations throughout the day and setting up for the next day for success.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
Work in a standing position in the dining facility and kitchen area for 6 to 7 hours (excluding break and lunch periods).
Some bending and stooping
