Summary:
The Director of Process Improvement (PI), under the guidance and supervision of the AVP of System Effectiveness, leads and manages the Process Improvement Department at CCHCS. The Director is responsible for developing and implementing the Annual PI Department Budget and Strategy which will include, directing and mentoring Senior PI Specialists, Clinical PI Specialists and PI Specialists as they manage individual PI projects, develop and manage PI educational offerings, including the Lean, Yellow Belt and Green Belt certification, fostering system wide understanding and adoption of PI concepts and approaches, interacting and fostering relationships with Senior Staff and CCHCS department as an internal expert in PI with the overall goal of enhancing the system's ability to system to meet the tenets of the Promise.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in a clinical, business or engineering field. Industrial engineering is preferred and a graduate degree a plus.At least 5 years of proven experience and exemplary performance in process improvement, preferably in healthcare.Experience in as many of the following areas as possible, but not limited to - data analysis, quality management, process engineering, organizational change management, program development and management, curricula development, course instructor and operational excellence advocate.Comfortable with analytical methods and is process focused.Demonstrated ability to facilitate and lead multidisciplinary teams.Proven record of performance and trusted professional credibility.Experienced and passionate leader (formal or informal) with proven problem solving experience.Appropriate certificates and training must be secured for Power BI, SQL, Epic EHR Reporting tool, Minitab Analytics, Minitab Engage, Lucidchart and other internally used software within two years of employment.
Licensure, Registration, and/or Certification
Lean Six Sigma Black Belt Certification is required. Lean Six Sigma Master Black Belt certification is preferred.Certified Professional in Healthcare Quality (CPHQ) is a preferred supplemental certification.
