About Director, Training & Development

  MWH Constructors, a global leader in heavy civil construction of water andwastewater facilities, is looking for a highly experienced and motivatedDirector of Training & Development. In this role, you will be responsiblefor designing and implementing comprehensive training and development programsto enhance the skills and knowledge of our employees in the constructionfield. As the Director, you will work closely with various stakeholders toidentify training needs, develop strategies, and ensure the successfuldelivery of training initiatives. This role reports to the Chief ofStaff/Chief Human Resources Officer and is based in Broomfield, CO.Essential FunctionsDevelop and implement a comprehensive training and development strategy tooffer technical training, field training, and management training.Collaborate with various stakeholders to identify training needs and createtargeted programs to address them.Design and deliver high-quality training materials, including e-learningmodules, workshops, and webinars.Evaluate the effectiveness of training initiatives through feedback,assessments, and metrics.Stay current with industry trends and best practices, ensuring that trainingprograms align with the latest standards.Collaborate with subject matter experts to ensure the accuracy and relevanceof training materials.Monitor and analyze training data to identify gaps and recommend improvements.Develop and maintain relationships with external training vendors and industryassociations.Provide guidance and support to managers and employees on training anddevelopment opportunities.Oversee and enhance current training initiatives, including crafttraining, The METHOD program (a mentorship and rotational program forconstruction professionals early in their career), MWH BUILDS (currenttraining platform), and Building Connections (onsite orientation programfor neBasic QualificationsBahcelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, ConstructionTechnology, Organizational Development, Science, or other similar fieldof studProven experience in designing and implementing training programs in theconstruction industry.Strong knowledge of learning principles and instructional methodologies.Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability toeffectively deliver training to individuals at all levels.In-depth understanding of construction industry standards, regulations,and best practices.Proven ability to assess training needs and develop strategies to addressthem.Experience in managing learning management systems and e-learning platforms.Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills, with the ability to adaptto changing priorities.Exceptional organizational and project management skills.Understanding of occupational hazards and standard safety practices.Proficient with Adobe and Microsoft Office, specifically Microsoft Word andExcel.Proficient with use of SharePoint document management.Affiliations with construction industry member groups, such as AGC,CMAA, MAWIC, DBIA, etc. preferred.The ability to travel 40-50% is required.BenefitsGroup health & welfare benefits including options for medical, dental andvision100% company-paid benefits including Employee Life Insurance & AccidentalDeath & Dismemberment (AD&D), Spouse and Dependent Life &AD&D, Short Term Disability (STD), Long Term Disability (LTD)(after 60 day waiting period for STD & LTD only), Employee AssistanceProgram aVoluntary benefits at discounted group rates for accidents, criticalillness, and hospital indemnityPaid Time Off (15 days/year)Sick Leave (5 days/year)Paid Parental Leave Program10 Paid Holidays401(k) Plan (company matching contributions up to 4%)CompensationThe anticipated base salary for this position ranges between$140,000-185,000/yr depending on previous experience.MWH Constructors is a leading project deli ery company with a focus on waterand wastewater treatment infrastructure.
