Description If you're looking for Accounts Receivable (A/R) Clerk work, we have a job opening for a self-starting and detail-oriented candidate! This is a long-term contract / temporary Accounts Receivable Clerk position and is based in the Baltimore, Maryland area. You will thrive in this Accounts Receivable Clerk position if you are able to enter, post and reconcile batches, research and resolve customer A/R issues, prepare aging report, place billing and collection calls, maintain cash receipts journal, update, and reconcile sub-ledger to G/L. Candidates looking for career growth potential and who are capable of processing 200+ invoices per week will be best fit for this position.

　　Responsibilities

　　Contact clients to help resolve payment issues; assist in setting up payment plans

　　Reconcile bank accounts, posting and balancing financial data in different ledgers

　　Review status of delinquent accounts daily and initiate collection action by contacting customers

　　Process payments and compile segments of monthly closings and annual reports in compliance with GAAP

　　Perform a variety of basic accounting tasks in accordance with standard procedures, including general accounting tasks

　　Test documents and codes

　　Be an ambassador of the mission, values, and culture of the organization

　　Provide information, as requested to shippers, customers, the sales/marketing department and other stakeholders Requirements - AA or BS/BA degree in Accounting or related field preferred

　　Observant, accurate and able to thrive in a fast-paced environment

　　Analytical skills in basic accounts receivable and accounting policy

　　2+ years of relevant experience in accounts receivable

　　Proficiency in Microsoft Office with strong Excel skills

　　Proficient in ERP systems

　　Accounts Receivable (AR) experience

　　Write Offs experience

　　Microsoft Excel experience

　　Daily Cash Receipts experience
