About Director, Solutions Architect

  JOB SUMMARYThe Director, Solutions Architect, leads a team of solution architectsresponsible for solution communication and sign-off for all externalapplication impacts used by digital marketing organizations. Plays a criticalrole in driving technical excellence, ensuring alignment with businessobjectives, and optimizing operational efficiency. Collaborates withcross-functional teams, provides enterprise architectural guidance, andleads initiatives to drive innovation, scalability, and reliability in theorganization's technical enterprise landscape.

  MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESResponsible for the solutions development of complex online ordering platformswhile working with system designers to integrate these platforms with theexisting systems.Continuously develops and maintains an extensive understanding of Onlineordering platforms, Ordering back-office applications and integratedenterprise applicationsDevelops short and long-term road architecture roadmaps for applications,aligning development plans and ensuring effective integration amongapplications.Guides the preparation and execution of long-term strategic initiatives toensure integration of current and future technologies.Collaborates with stakeholders to develop and execute the enterprisearchitecture strategy and roadmap aligned with the digital marketingorganization's goals and objectivesProvides technical expertise and guidance to enterprise architects anddevelopment teamsEstablishes and enforces enterprise architectural standards, principles,and policies across projects and systemsCollaborates with internal and external teams, stakeholders, and businessleaders to understand their requirements and align enterprise architecturalsolutions with business needsDefines and drives the enterprise architecture roadmap and innovation strategyCreates and maintains comprehensive enterprise architecture documentation,including diagrams, design patters, standards, and guidelinesLeads and manages a team of highly skilled enterprise architects, providingmentorship, coaching, and professional development opportunitiesConducts risk assessments and impact analysis related to enterprisearchitectural decisions and changesFacilitates the review and formulation of new software/hardware platformswith a team of architects.Mentors other team members as needed to share knowledge and contribute to thefulfillment of departmental goals.

  REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONSRequired Skills/Abilities and KnowledgeAbility to read, write, speak and understand EnglishDemonstrated analytical skills to solve complex technology and businessproblemsEffective communication skills to all audience levels along with an ability tosynthesize complex technology matters into insightful recommendations;proven ability to present technical concepts to non-technical audiencesAbility to influence internal/external key stakeholders & build consensusto desired business outcomesAbility to manage and foster changeAbility to define key performance indicators / metrics.Ability to use logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses ofalternative solutions, conclusions or approaches to problemsAbility to listen and marry multiple points of view from a technicalperspective to a business perspective and synthesize against goals forrecommendationsAbility to plan, prioritize and organize effectively and independentlymultiple projects and tasksAbility to make decisions using good judgment, and solve problems whileworking under pressureEffective business sense and sense of urgency to achieve business resultsAbility to make decisions and solve problems while working under pressureAbility to provide leadership and direction to cross-functional and virtualteams with a mixture of direct and dotted-line reportingAbility to manage large, complex, diverse and strategic projects thatimpact the organiz tion as a whole

  Required EducationBachelor's of Science in Business, Information Technology, or equivalentcombination of education and experience

  Required Related Work Experience and Number of YearsCumulative experience with Ordering (preferably in Telecom or Cableindustry) design/architecture - 10+ yearsRelevant industry (e.g., telecom, cable, mobile) experience - 7+ years

  PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONSPreferred Skills/Abilities and KnowledgeKnowledge of telecommunications products and servicesAbility to supervise and motivate others

  Preferred EducationAdvanced management or technical degreeArchitecture Certification

  Preferred Related Work Experience and Number of YearsTechnical oversight of complex Telecom or Cable implementations - 5+ yearsManagerial Experience - 5+ years
