Job Description
Position Overview
The Director, will join a leadership cohort, providing both operationaloversight and tactical support for Invenergy\'s NERC ReliabilityCompliance programs: Real Time Operations, CIP, and Internal Controls.In this role, the Director will be primarily responsible for ensuringOperating Projects remain poised to demonstrate compliance throughinternal controls, enhanced workflow processes, technical acumen, andperformance metrics. Based out of our downtown Chicago office, theDirector will utilize its engineering, cyber security, and regulatorycompliance administration expertise, to fulfil the job responsibilitieswith limited managerial oversight and cross-functional collaboration.This role will have direct reports.
Responsibilities
Co-lead adherence to Invenergy\'s Real Time Operations and CIPregulatory compliance programs in North America and CanadaIndependently drive end-to-end planning, coordination, and executionof assigned deliverables supporting compliance monitoring activitiesMonitor and report non-compliance with internal policies andexternal requirementsDesign and deliver compliance and technical training to internalsupport groups and field personnelDevelop and empower junior staffDeliver KPI driven program level reportingMaintain awareness of emerging utility industry and cyber securityissues through benchmarkingPerform other job-related duties as assignedRequired Skills
7+ years of demonstrated direct NERC Program leadership experience(693 & CIP) and/or equivalent industry experience5+ years of progressive experience in protection system, power plantoperations and/or design is highly preferred3+ years of managing direct reports of various levelsProgressive renewable generation technology experience, a plusAbility to identify and solve complex problemsStrong interpersonal skills with the desire to work in a fast-pacedentrepreneurial environment and meet deadlinesAbility to use discretion in handling confidential informationAdvanced organizational, presentation/facilitation, andverbal/written communication skillsDegree in Electrical Engineering, Power Systems, BusinessManagement, Law, Information Technology or related disciplineProficient in the use of Microsoft Office products, KPI software,and Adobe Acrobat.Willingness to travel between 5-10%.Benefits
