Position Summary
Reporting the VP of Product Management, the Director of Product Marketing is responsible for guiding the product marketing team and delivering on go-to-market (GTM) plans that achieve Miovision’s financial and product adoption targets. This role sits at the intersection of the marketing, sales, and product organizations with responsibility to maximize market share capture, drive expansion into new markets, and align Miovision solutions to new buyers, users, partners, and ecosystems.
The Director is responsible for leading the team that will define and segment the target market, set product positioning and value propositions, run product launches, support sales training, provide RFP collateral, and educate the internal Miovision team about our markets. This role will ensure all of Miovision’s products and solutions are built to address partner and customer needs by driving a continuous feedback program for our product management team. As the expert in the market, the Director of Product Marketing will also lead a competitive intelligence program to inform Miovision’s product development, positioning, and business strategy.
Key Accountabilities
Manage the Product Marketing team. This includes: hiring according to team & company values, innovation and fit with corporate culture, professional development, performance management, and mentorship/coaching. Support Product Marketing Managers (PMMs) in product positioning & messaging, GTM activities, sales training, customer adoption programs, RFP collateral, internal product & market training
Leverage deep industry expertise and strategic planning background to develop actionable product marketing vision, execute on growth strategies, and contribute market insights to business strategy
Develop value-based product positioning and pricing for all service offerings
Build resilient and efficient GTM strategies and systems for new products, features & services; including research, launch planning and timelines, communications, training, deliverables, and reporting
Facilitate, guide, and support implementation of the market insights framework and transportation ecosystem map
Oversee ongoing competitive intelligence initiatives and market analysis to identify opportunities to differentiate the Miovision brand, increase TAM and market share for Miovision offerings, and drive informed prioritization and trade-off of roadmap features
Skills/Qualifications
7+ years of B2B hardware/software/SaaS product marketing experience
Experience in team leadership / people management
Strong grasp of traffic, networking and Smart Cities
Demonstrated success marketing to and through a partner channel
Proven experience taking products from conception to market launch in the tech industry
Self-starter who will take ownership of projects to bring them to completion, pulling in resources from across the company as needed or required
Ability to be flexible on a day to day basis and manage parallel deliverables effectively
Leadership: ability to build, retain and motivate team members
Strong presentation skills
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Ability to travel as needed
