  We are currently seeking an experienced and entrepreneurial Director of Product Management to help pioneer our entry into the emerging railcar telematics market. This role will oversee the development of our telematics product portfolio from the ground up.

  As the telematics industry within rail is still in its early stages, this position requires someone with a proven track record of successfully building new product categories and driving growth within immature or emerging markets. You will play a pivotal role in shaping the strategic direction of our telematics business and helping define this new market space.

  REQUIRED EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS

  Bachelor’s degree in Business, Computer Science, or a STEM major (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math).

  Minimum of 10+ years of experience leading, managing, and growing IoT device solutions or similar technologies.

  Minimum of 10+ years of experience in a client-facing product management, technology, or professional services role (e.g., SaaS, on-premise, cloud-hosted, managed services, etc.).

  Willingness to travel up to 25% of your time both inside and outside to support customer discovery and product sessions.

  Demonstrated track record of entrepreneurship through new market category creation, disruptive innovation, and leading high-growth initiatives within emerging industries.

  Ability to evangelize new technology and identify new opportunities based on product and industry trends and set commercialization strategies for tiered product and services offerings.

  Familiarity with product delivery, development, and deployment process flows and activities, with a demonstrated capacity for product conceptualization.

  Experience driving portfolio and investment decisions to balance customer needs, install base requirements, and long-term enterprise differentiation.

  Ability to progress concepts beyond current offerings and consider business model innovation.

  Capable of capturing the voice of the customer through established business rhythms and customer advisory boards.

  Experience in the rail or transportation industry a plus.

  JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

  Identifying opportunities to disrupt existing paradigms and create new categories within railcar telematics through customer-centric innovation.

  Developing a multi-year vision and roadmap to establish our telematics solutions as market leaders.

  Proactively engaging with customers to uncover unmet needs and help guide our product development as market requirements continue to evolve.

  Pioneering go-to-market strategies tailored for launching disruptive new offerings into a nascent industry.

  Managing budgets and resources flexibly to allow for agile experimentation and rapid iteration as market feedback is obtained.

  Managing forecast, running SIOP (Sales inventory and operations planning) and hosting cross-functional meetings supporting growth

  Fostering an entrepreneurial culture that encourages calculated risk-taking, creativity, and nimble decision-making.

  You may also be asked to perform other duties outside of your function or trade, for which adequate training will be provided if necessary.

  Relocation assistance may be provided if eligibility requirements are met.
