The incumbent is responsible for developing and executingprocurement strategies to support our sustainability and environmentalgoals and drive cost-efficiency. This position will be responsible forthe successful integration of acquisitions along with recruiting anddeveloping a high-performing team of Category Managers to driveexcellence in procurement operations.
Key Responsibilities
Develops and executes a comprehensive procurement strategy aligned withthe companys financial objectives.
Identifies opportunities for cost reduction, sustainabilityimprovements, and supply chain optimization while championingsustainable procurement practices that align with the company\'senvironmental goals.
Ensures compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and ethicalstandards in procurement practices.
Oversees the management of procurement categories, including supplierselection, negotiation, and contract management.
Analyzes market trends, supplier performance, and risks to make informeddecisions that benefit the organization.
Integrates and monitors sustainability criteria into supplierevaluations and selection processes.
Conducts regular cost analyses to identify opportunities for costreduction and develops and implement cost-saving initiatives and costcontrol measures.
Ensures that procurement processes are streamlined and efficient.
Identifies and mitigates potential risks in the supply chain whiledeveloping contingency plans to address supply chain disruptions.
Monitors global market dynamics and geopolitical factors that may impactprocurement.
Prepares and present regular reports to senior management on procurementperformance, cost savings, and sustainability initiatives.
Recruits, onboards, and develops a team of Category Managers withexpertise in various procurement categories and fosters a culture ofcollaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement within theprocurement team.
Manages and provides leadership to team members by effectivelycommunicating, establishing clear goals and objectives, coaching teammembers on achieving goals, and ensuring access to training anddevelopment opportunities that assist employees in attaining thenecessary skills to achieve team and corporate results.
Participates in training and other learning opportunities to expandknowledge of the company, products, sales, and services and performs anyother duties needed to help drive our vision, fulfill our mission,and/or abide by our core values.
Ensures compliance with all company, state, and federal policies,regulations, and laws regarding employment and employee safety.
Education, Experience & Qualifications
The successful candidate will have a bachelors degree in businessadministration, supply chain management or related field. Minimum 8years of progressive leadership experience. Proven success in strategicprocurement and supply chain management. Demonstrated ability to leadand develop high-performing teams. Strong understanding of sustainableprocurement practices. Excellent negotiation, communication, andinterpersonal skills. Proficiency in procurement software and analyticstools. Knowledge of relevant laws and regulations in procurement andsupply chain management. Legally eligible to work in the US and travelup to 50%.
