POSITION: Director of Sponsorship Sales

ASM Global has an excellent and immediate opening for Director of Sponsorship Sales for ASM Global -- North Charleston. The Corporate Director of Sponsorship Sales is responsible for planning and directing all aspects of corporate sponsorship sales activities at all three facilities. This position will be focused on working with the General Manager and the Assistant General Manager to obtain mutually beneficial partnerships through sales efforts, deliverable fulfillment and successful renewals.

SUMMARY
The Director of Sponsorship Sales will plan, direct, control and coordinate sales campaigns for The North Charleston Coliseum, Performing Arts Center, and The Greater Charleston Convention Center. Working in close partnership with the General Manager and Assistant General Manager, this position will conceptualize and execute on local sales and sponsorship programs that deliver revenue targets and maximize profit margins. The Director of Sponsorship Sales will develop short and long-term sales strategies, overseeing the development and integration of new account acquisition and retention of Corporate Partners.
The focus will be on developing marketing solutions for partnership prospects that would leverage key assets within the Coliseum, Performing Arts Center, and Convention Center. The Director will be required to utilize the available assets to build effective sales programs that provide clients with comprehensive marketing solutions that incorporate experiential, digital, multimedia, onsite, ticketing, hospitality, entitlements, signage, social media and suite offerings.
The ideal candidate will generate Sponsorship Revenue and market share as well as create conceptual opportunities in the marketplace in order to increase the profitability of the campus.
The successful candidate will be responsible for the day-to-day development of sales activities for ASM Global from identification to activation. Key to success in this role will be to develop deep, collaborative relationships with local and national sponsors. In addition to being an excellent negotiator, the Director of Sponsorship Sales will manage contractual issues, including rights management, legal and financial implications of the partnerships.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: No direct supervisory responsibilities.
QUALIFICATIONS:

Background and Experience
Demonstrated track record of success in closing large sponsorship deals with multiple deal elements including (but not limited to) sponsorship, media, marketing and on-site activation.
Experience with acquiring and satisfying sponsorship partners with client and agency relationships.
Strong understanding and aptitude for selling digital and social media offerings.
Direct experience in contract management across multi-year sponsorships in excess of 6 figures.
Proven ability to successfully operate among senior executive levels on the client side up to and including C-Suite executives.
Demonstrated success in managing complex deals in a matrix environment.
Experience in a conceptual sales and marketing environment. Track record of success in creating unique concepts through aggregating assets, developing a value proposition and establishing premium pricing.
Education and/or Experience:
B.S. in Business, Communications, or Sports Marketing from a four-year college or university.
3 to 5 years' experience in sponsorship sales management.

Computer Skills:
