　　Position Summary:

　　The Director of Social Work is responsible for the overall direction of the Social Services Department and ensures that resident’s needs are being met. The Director of Social Services must be knowledgeable of NYS and Federal Regulations as it applies to the department. Additionally, the incumbent will lead a team of long term care and Sub-Acute Social Workers that work to identify resident’s psychosocial, mental, and emotional needs, and identify barriers to discharge. The Director of Social Services will provide support and encouragement to the resident and their family throughout their stay at the facility while focusing on achieving their maximum quality of life.

　　Qualifications:

　　Master’s degree in Social Work preferred

　　Licensed social worker preferred.

　　5+ Years of long term care experience preferred

　　3+ years of previous supervisory experience
