The Head of Sales, Agriculture is charged with people leadership of the commercial business development team facilitating revenue retention, development and new client acquisition across our three lines of business driving the TELUS Premier Sales Organization (PSO) operating model. TELUS Agriculture is a marketing lead, sales driven product organization. Scope includes successful recruitment and development of sales talent, commercial focus across our Agronomy, Program Execution and Supply Chain product lines in the Agriculture Product Company (Basic Manufacturer) and Retail space. Through your leadership you will focus on building a world-class team of Account Executives, as well as Sales and Account Managers, engaging with our customers and establishing a deep understanding of all farm management and ag data management software, leading your team successfully and raising the TELUS Agriculture solutions and revenue to the next level. Span of control is approximately 10 FTEs for the EMEA region.

You will possess a unique blend of business and problem solving to lead the identification of customer needs, differentiating TELUS from competitors and driving profitable growth. The ideal candidate will possess the ability to translate complex business problems into efficient and scalable sales strategies and present these both internally and externally. A deep understanding of data products, associated use cases and how to best design a robust sales and account plan is essential.

Lead by example in contributing to a strong company culture and high-performing collaborative working environment
Be a strong leader and member of the leadership team in driving company-wide initiatives and objectives and contribute to the team's growth
Craft the Agribusiness sales strategy in close interlock with Marketing for Agronomy, Program Execution & Supply Chain that emphasizes user experience for a broad range of personas
Communicate the strategy and roadmap to both internal and external stakeholders
Serve as the internal voice of the customer and work closely with marketing and sales to evaluate market opportunities for product positioning
Recruit and lead sales managers and account executives to drive the sales funnel and revenue goals
Establish formal PSO management methodologies working with a tremendous level of agility
Develop, implement and report on performance metrics
Work closely with and coordinate the needs of other stakeholder groups in a way that balances needs, sets and manages expectations, and leads to successful and timely results
Create an environment for your team to work directly with customers and internal sources for customer feedback
Key Qualifications:
Experience leading sales teams, including in a manager of managers matrix environment built around the TELUS PSO operating model
Respected for developing complex cross value chain solutions
Known for your enthusiasm and passion for solving customer problems
Admired for your ability to collaborate cross-functionally to deliver integrated solutions
Commended for your strong communication skills and the ability to motivate team members
You are a leader that people willingly follow
High level motivational skills so that you can also manage virtual teams
A solid understanding of software product management disciplines
Familiarity with cloud services, project management, program management
Understanding of agriculture data and current solutions in market, an asset
Education and Experience:
Bachelor's degree in business administration, accounting, finance, or a related field required
Ten or more years of commercial leadership in technology, software or agriculture product sales and demand creation and/or management consulting
MBA a plus
