ASM Global, the world’s leader in venue and event management, is looking for a Director of Food & Beverage to join our team and support a variety of functions at The Oncenter Convention Center, Arena, and Theaters.

Min Pay Rate: $70,000/annually
Max Pay Rate: $95,000/annually
THE ROLE
As the Director of Food & Beverage at The Oncenter, you will be responsible for the overall direction and coordination of the entire food and beverage operation at ASM Global/The Oncenter.
WHAT TO EXPECT
Market Food & Beverage services to clients and establish Food and Beverage control.
Creates Food and Beverage sales projections and budgets for facility events.
Develops event work plans including scheduling, ordering, and assigning proper duties to subordinates.
Attend appropriate planning, organization, and other event and facility meetings.
Analyze information concerning facility operations such as daily food sales, patron attendance, and labor costs to prepare budget to maintain cost control of facility operations.
Assist in annual budget preparation for department while tracking budget allocation throughout the year.
Inspect food service facilities to ensure that equipment and buildings meet requirements of state and local health laws and internal regulations.
Maintain positive employer/employee relations and labor relations.
Train and oversee NPO organization(s) in concession stands.
Oversee and supervise all Food and Beverage managers.
Enter payroll into ADP System to run on a weekly basis.
Work with Temp services when necessary to staff events.
Conduct performance appraisals for Banquet and Concessions Managers.
Assist with interviewing, hiring, and training employees in conjunction with Human Resources.
Assist with employee development and coach department personnel to work to full potential.
Adhere to labor contract.
Other duties as assigned.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
Bachelor’s Degree in Food & Beverage Management or related field preferred.
Minimum 5 years’ experience in a Food & Beverage Management level (Director preferred) position.
Catering Management experience required.
Experience in a multi-purpose equitable facility preferred.
Proven track record of exceeding customer service and quality standards required.

Ability to prioritize multiple projects
Supervisory experience required.
Remain flexible and adjust to situations as they occur.
Demonstrate problem-solving and communication skills
PHYSICAL ABILITIES
Must be able to walk/stand/sit for long periods of time.
You may be required to work both indoors and outdoors as required by the function.
Must have the physical ability to maneuver around facility(ies), at times, walking and/or standing up to 8-10 hours daily.
