　　The Holland America Summer Internship Program is a 10-week paid (remote) summer internship opportunity designed to provide exposure and insight to professional careers in the amazing leisure travel, cruise industry. The selected interns will work on departmental projects as well as participate in professional development and enrichment activities.

　　2024 Program Dates (two options)

　　Program runs 10 weeks from June 10th - August 16th or June 17th - August 23rd.Eligibility

　　Eligible candidates are enrolled in a four-year accredited undergraduate program (where they are at least a rising junior) or in a graduate/Ph.D. program and have a GPA of 3.0 or higher.

　　MUST NOT be a graduating senior in the summer 2024.

　　Compensation

　　Undergraduate - $25.00/hr, Graduate - $35.00/hr, Ph.D. - $45.00/hrIntern Project Details

　　You’ll be responsible for supporting the Environmental Operations and Policy department in improvements in dashboarding, environmental data collection, document organization and retention. This will aid with increasing work task efficiency, business continuity, and ease of compliance and operational oversight.

　　Develop education materials for environmental officers regarding compliance oversight of the Advanced Air Quality Systems, leveraging existing power BI dashboards. This will involve working directly with shipboard team members to ensure access and functionality of dashboards.

　　Work with the Environmental Operations team to identify opportunities for environmental dashboards and work with the associated data teams to develop new dashboards or enhance existing dashboards

　　Evaluate the environmental data collection process and work with the team to implement process improvements.

　　Document and organize the environmental team documents across multiple file locations and platforms, with an emphasis on document retention, to support business continuity.

　　Create an organized summary of environmental and sustainability related projects and programs to aid in annual sustainability reporting.

　　Collect content for the annual sustainability report.

　　Requirements

　　Proficiency using MS office Suite including Outlook & MS Teams

　　Ability to work independently, remotely and self-manage

　　Well organized and able to communicate effectively with colleagues and managers.

　　The types of duties the students will perform will vary and may require some technical tasks, projects and/or work that may require specific proficiencies, technical abilities and/or computer skills.

　　Majors Preferred

　　Environmental (Science, Studies, etc.) or Business administration/computer science/data scienceSkills Preferred

　　Highly proficient in Excel

　　Experience with Microsoft Power BI preferred

　　Strong communication and organization skills
