The Role

Are you motivated by driving business outcomes and interested in partnering closely with the business leadership in the Commercial business within Lumen? Does working in a fast-paced environment with agility sound exciting?

As the Director of Finance for our Commercial business, a key role within the Commercial Finance organization, you will be entrusted to drive the consolidated story of our organization. This role will be a trusted advisor leading and driving the end-to-end rhythm of business, including the annual planning and quarterly forecasting processes among other key rhythms. You will partner with key finance leaders across the business to build the engine to drive commercial intensity and work closely with the VP of Finance for the commercial finance team.

This is a remote opportunity open to candidates located anywhere in the U.S.

The Main Responsibilities

Lead the Commercial Finance organization’s rhythm of business, by designing, developing and implementing models, frameworks and processes for annual planning/budgeting and quarterly forecasting and outlook.

Drive the monthly close cadence and commercial rigor stand-ups across segment finance leadership

Oversee key programs in collaboration with the Commercial PMO team working closely with the VP – PMO and Chief of Staff

Ensure profitability for Opex investments, particularly in SPIFF allocations to programs and GTM motions, and oversee the Opex for the commercial business organization.

Develop new reporting dashboards to track business performance across key levers / metrics, as needed

Focus on people development and lead a team of 8+ members both based locally and internationally in Poland.

What We Look For in a Candidate

Required

Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, or related field

10+ years of related experience

5+ years management experience

Recognizable as a leader, possessing outstanding communication and interpersonal skills

Ability to quickly establish credibility and rapport with a broad set of executives and leaders

High degree of adaptability. Growth mindset.

Strong results orientation with demonstrated track record of success

Strong presentation and negotiation skills

Ability to work in a fast-paced, independent environment and be able to build and sustain high performing teams

Experience in liaising with multiple operational contacts at executive and senior management levels with an ability to support multiple locations

Compensation

This information reflects the anticipated base salary range for this position based on current national data. Minimums and maximums may vary based on location. Individual pay is based on skills, experience and other relevant factors.

Location Based Pay Ranges:

$149,084 - $198,779 in these states: AL, AR, AZ, FL, GA, IA, ID, IN, KS, KY, LA, ME, MO, MS, MT, ND, NE, NM, OH, OK, PA, SC, SD, TN, UT, VT, WI, WV, and WY.

$156,539 - $208,718 in these states: CO, HI, MI, MN, NC, NH, NV, OR, and RI.

$163,993 - $218,657 in these states: AK, CA, CT, DC, DE, IL, MA, MD, NJ, NY, TX, VA, and WA.
