　　Position SummaryThe Department of Computer Science and Engineering (CSE) in the College of Engineering at Michigan State University (MSU) is in a phase of significant and sustained growth and expansion.  We are pleased to invite applications for the rank of Assistant Professor in the Department. Exceptional candidates for the ranks of Associate and Full Professor will also be considered. Multiple tenure-system faculty positions are available. The anticipated start date for these positions is August 16, 2024. Candidates must have a doctoral degree at the time of appointment.

　　The Department is seeking highly motivated applicants in any area of Computer Science -- including those that intersect with other fields -- who can enhance or complement the Department's strengths and expertise. Tenure-system computer science faculty are expected to establish a vibrant, sustainable, and internationally visible research program; make significant scholarly contributions to their discipline; be effective teachers and mentors to both undergraduate and graduate students; engage in institutional and professional service as well as public outreach; and contribute toward the university's DEI mission. The Department and College have a strong track record of mentoring junior faculty to grow their academic careers successfully. Several faculty in the department have received NSF CAREER Awards over the past 5 years.
