Description Robert Half is currently working with a client seeking a Director of Finance. As part of the management team, the director of finance must have strong leadership, management, technology, analytical, strategic planning, and communication skills. 　　Your responsibilities

　　Supervise financial planning and budget management functions

　　Decide on benchmarks for comparing the operating and financial performance

　　Manage the hiring, training, and retention of finance staff

　　Compare monthly operating results against budget

　　Manage the preparation of all financial reports

　　Supervise all operations of the finance and accounting department

　　Manage the composition of financial outlooks and financial forecasts

　　Direct risk and insurance management

　　Comply with local, state, and federal budgetary reporting requirements

　　Work with department managers to develop five-year business plans

　　Manage the operating procedures of the department, including short- and long-range goals, objectives, and policies- Develop financial analysis prior to contract negotiations and product investment decisions

　　Review and maintain budgeting and forecasting models

　　Develop and monitor an organizational structure in order to accomplish department goals and objectives Requirements - Very detail oriented and expert analytical thinking skills

　　Bachelor's degree in finance or accounting

　　MBA or CPA is preferred

　　10+ years of finance and accounting experience

　　Strong knowledge of cost control, budgeting, accounting, and finance principles including Generally Accepted Accounting Principles

　　High degree of proficiency in Microsoft Excel

　　Efficiency in a variety of accounting and financial reporting systems
