　　At Nutanix, we are trying to build the next generation platform to help enterprises model and develop applications; encapsulate the application architecture and deployment as code. 　　Engineering / R&D at Nutanix:

　　Nutanix Files is a software-defined, scale-out file storage solution that provides a repository for unstructured data, such as home directories, user profiles, departmental shares, application logs, backups, and archives. Flexible and responsive to workload requirements, Files is a fully integrated core component of Nutanix.

　　Your Role

　　Team building: Hire and grow a team of high performing engineers with diverse skill-sets

　　Engineering & Release Management: Live the enterprise software release principles and create a high performing team through them. Refine and grow existing processes or develop new ones to enable smooth functioning of engineering team

　　Drive development of timely and high quality software releases

　　Product and Technical: Drive product direction and strategy by interfacing regularly with product managers, solution architects, sales engineers and customers.

　　Drive scalable, extensible architecture by participating in architecture and technical design skills

　　Required Skills:

　　Leadership: Strong leader capable of motivating the very best software engineers, as well as gaining their respect.

　　People-oriented: Ensure the team of engineers and/or managers are happy, motivated and engaged

　　Collaboration and communication: Collaborating with the geo-distributed teams. Communicate across functional teams, keeping various engineering, product and business stakeholders informed. Experience building and cultivating strong engineering practices and processes

　　Planning & execution: Should be able to own and deliver large projects end to end, keeping track of timelines. Be able to keep track of (and context switch between) different threads and ensure that details don’t slip through the cracks

　　Solid technical skills: Experience with enterprise File System or Storage software development built and delivered on-prem, AWS, Azure or GCP. Strong experience in having built, operated and scaled distributed, large-scale, fault-tolerant systems. Familiarity with virtualization, containers and/or storage management. Familiarity with OS internals, concepts of distributed data management, web scale systems. Experience in one of following programming languages: Python/GoLang/C/C++/Java. o Experience with NFS, SMB, S3, ZFS and any other large scale distributed file stores preferred.

　　BS/ MS in Computer Science or Engineering

　　10+ Years of experience, 5+ Years of management experience

　　Proven ability in recruiting, growing a strong technical team and providing technical mentoring and leadership

　　Experience working with product management, customers and engineering teams to define, size and scope projects and initiatives
