As the Director of Construction Technology, you will play a pivotal role in identifying, selecting, implementing, and optimizing technology solutions that improve efficiency, productivity, safety, and sustainability across our projects. You will work with a team of technology professionals and collaborate closely with all levels of the construction organization to develop and execute a comprehensive technology strategy aligned with our business goals.

Responsibilities
Develop and implement a strategic technology roadmap for the construction department:
Utilize current Walbridge Technology Agenda as the starting point.
Identify and evaluate emerging technologies relevant to the construction industry.
Define and prioritize technology investments based on potential ROI and alignment with business objectives, utilizing the A3 thinking process.
Develop and implement a comprehensive technology adoption plan across project teams. Utilize the Walbridge “Gated Process” as the starting point.
Lead the selection and implementation of construction technology solutions:
Manage the RFP process for new technology solutions.
Conduct cost-benefit analyses and feasibility studies for potential technology investments. (Utilize A3 process)
Oversee the implementation and integration of new technology solutions.
Provide ongoing support and training to project teams on new technology solutions.
Drive process improvement and data-driven decision making:
Analyze data and feedback from construction projects to identify inefficiencies and opportunities for improvement.
Develop and implement process improvements based on data analysis.
Leverage data to support informed decision making across the construction organization.
Manage the construction technology budget:
Develop and manage the construction technology budget.
Track and report on technology spending.
Ensure that technology investments are aligned with financial goals.
Stay informed about the latest trends in construction technology:
Attend industry conferences and events.
Read industry publications and research reports.
Maintain a network of contacts in the construction technology industry.
Future Opportunity: Manage and lead a team of construction technology professionals:
Recruit, hire, and develop a team of talented technology professionals.
Establish clear performance objectives and goals for the team.
Provide ongoing coaching and mentoring to team members.

Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in construction management, information technology, or a related field.
Minimum 10 years of experience in the construction industry, with at least 5 years of experience in construction technology.
Proven track record of successfully implementing construction technology solutions.
Strong understanding of construction processes and workflows.
Excellent leadership and communication skills.
Ability to build and manage relationships with stakeholders at all levels.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Experience working with a variety of construction software and hardware.
Experience managing a team of technology professionals (preferred).
Expertise in AI/ML concepts, methodologies, and model development (preferred).
