Robert Half is partnering with a leading healthcare organization in the greater Baton Rouge area to seek a dynamic Accounting Manager. As the Accounting Manager you will play a crucial role in overseeing the financial health of organization in partnership with the CFO. This position requires a strategic leader with solid accounting experience. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the accounting function, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards, and providing financial insights to support decision-making at both operational and executive levels.

Responsibilities:

Financial Leadership: Lead and oversee all aspects of the accounting department, including financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting. Provide strategic financial guidance to senior leadership to support business objectives and decision-making processes.

Compliance and Regulatory Oversight: Ensure compliance with healthcare industry accounting standards, regulatory requirements, and financial reporting guidelines. Stay abreast of changes in accounting regulations and implement necessary adjustments to maintain compliance.

Financial Reporting and Analysis: Prepare and present accurate and timely financial reports to executives and key stakeholders. Conduct in-depth financial analysis to identify trends, opportunities, and areas for improvement.

Team Management: Build, mentor, and lead a high-performing accounting team, fostering a collaborative and results-oriented work environment. Provide ongoing training and professional development to team members.

Process Improvement: Continuously evaluate and enhance financial processes and systems to improve efficiency and effectiveness. Implement best practices and technological solutions to streamline accounting operations.

Auditing and Risk Management: Collaborate with internal and external auditors to facilitate audits and ensure adherence to audit recommendations. Develop and implement risk management strategies to safeguard the organization's financial assets.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA or advanced degree preferred.

Proven experience in a senior accounting or finance role, with at least 5 of experience.

Thorough understanding of healthcare accounting standards, regulations, and compliance requirements.

Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a diverse team.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate across departments and communicate financial information to non-financial stakeholders.

Advanced proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
