The Hearst E-Commerce team is looking for an experienced Director, Lifecycle Marketing to lead organic acquisition and retention for our e-commerce efforts across Hearst Magazines, Television and Newspapers.
As the part of the Marketplace Growth team, you will be responsible for building and executing our organic media strategy across owned and operated sites, email, newsletters and SEO. You will leverage consumer insights, financial inputs, and industry trends to drive efficient revenue growth. Working closely with cross-functional partners in merchandising and paid traffic, you will play a key role in crafting organic marketing strategies across our brands' e-commerce efforts for acquisition, retention and customer engagement, and testing and learning across new potential new traffic drivers across our sites.

Our team will be focused on driving traffic from a wide spectrum of customer types - as such, you should be someone excited about exploring the varying engagement and shopping behaviors across regions, industries, and customer segments. With our many partners across multiple Hearst organizations, you should have excellent communication skills and comfort in collaborating and presenting concepts from with cross-functional stakeholders and leadership. You will also have strong e-commerce digital acquisition experience, as well as a track record of collaborating effectively with marketing and creative teams to build best-in-class customer experiences.

Your Responsibilities
Own organic marketing strategy for marketplaces across email, newsletter, organic social, and referral through Hearst's print and digital properties. Own the customer lifecycle strategy specifically within automations, optimizing the series-based emails (welcome series, abandoned cart, post purchase and lapsed buyer) and manage all campaigns throughout the customer lifecycle journey from activation to retention using transactional and behavioral triggers to ensure high customer engagement. Support marketplaces launch efforts across our Hearst brands with organic traffic acquisition campaigns and build out a playbook approach for subsequent launches. Dive deep into user data and analyze customer behavior to create targeted strategies for each title to drive desired behavior through segmentation, personalization, identifying new touch points and further optimization of existing flows. Oversee and manage reporting processes, ensuring accurate and timely reporting on key performance metrics and communication of results and insights to leadership. Monitor industry trends and lead experimentation with new acquisition drivers and creative. Collaborate with category management and merchandising teams on seller acquisition and latest product catalog and coordinate product pushes to align with their sales goals. Partner with editorial, design and central marketing teams on campaign development and execution Work with the product and data team to enable new triggers and new technologies to enable performance.About You

Bachelor's degree At least six years of online marketing experience across organic channels, focused on email marketing (organic social, referral, and SMS are pluses) Proven experience working with industry tools and analytics packages including email, web analytics, CRM and marketing automation platforms (i.e., Sailthru) Strong analytical and data-driven mindset with experience using analytics tools such as Google Analytics and Looker. Proven experience in segmentation and audience targeting, analyzing large sets of user data and the ability to turn findings into actionable insights. Ability to work collaboratively across cross-functional teams and manage multiple priorities in a start-up environment.
