  We are seeking an IT Technical Product Manager (Operations Platform Owner) to join the Team who will be responsible for managing and leading across multiple locations a team of IT Product Management Product Owners, Business Analysts, and at times Contractors with a focus on supporting the Enterprise Billing and Commission and Fee (FLEX) platforms. This role will report directly to the Director who oversees the broader Brokerage Product Services Platform Strategy & Support Team.

  The IT Technical Product Manager will partner with business, product, and operations owners to understand industry and regulatory trends, current and emerging competitive limitations, and their day to day and strategic needs. In addition, this role will require an in-depth knowledge of systems, transaction flows, cross system dependencies, and integration purposes. You will leverage this knowledge and expertise to drive, oversee, and manage your teams in meeting strategic and tactical execution of business and technical priorities, delivery on key performance indicators (KPIs), and partner with technology and stakeholders to define and implement a strategic vision for the platform. This includes participation in journey mapping, managing demand plans, architectural design, requirement development, prioritization and approach, testing, certification, and stakeholder communication activities.

  Your primary responsibilities as a People Manager of IT Product management staff within Operations will include:Retain and attract top talent and build a high performance and engaged team that consistently demonstrates competencies, capabilities, ownership, collaboration, and delivery of quality outcomes.Take responsibility for your personal and team performance by setting clear goals and expectations, providing specific performance feedback and recognition, and creating a positive "we can" culture.Develop and grow individual members by providing guidance, direction, and oversight based on the individual's strengths and experience.Coach and mentor, the broader team on Agile best practices which includes EPIC and business milestone strategies, writing clear business and technical stories, story pointing user stories for sprint and capacity planning, and effectively support PI Planning events and weekly scrum ceremonies.Empower individuals to make decisions, take ownership, challenge assumptions, and encourage critical thinking and creativity.Your primary responsibilities as an IT Product Management Director will oversee two high demand back-office Enterprise Platforms will include: Partner with leadership, technology, and stakeholders to develop, socialize, and maintain annual strategic roadmaps and a 3+ year platform strategy within the context of the company's broader system modernization effort, health and availability of the systems, critical stakeholder business needs, pain points and business impact. Understand and be able to effectively communicate to leadership and stakeholders on team priorities, how critical initiatives and business milestones are progressing, and create awareness and or escalate risks, scope trade-offs, risk mitigation strategies, timeline and or budget impacts to stakeholders to ensure alignment.Have a strong knowledge and speak effectively to others around the end-to-end system flows, core features and capabilities, and opportunities for improvement.Understand new business priorities and assist the team in aligning on MVP, sizing, understanding dependencies and risks, and thinking through how to best lay out the work (e.g., EPICs, business milestones, sequencing, MVP).Develop resource strategies and properly allocate resources in alignment with strategic priorities, making trade-offs, when necessary, to achieve optimal business and technical outcomes.Oversee quarterly Program Increment (PI) Planning events which includes the pre-work and the post communication of the outcomes. Participate in core working leadership meetings for projects with a focus on vocalizing awareness and or escalating risks, working with the team to think through risk mitigation strategies, and how to present these risks and or concerns to the executive project sponsors.Build a network and key relationships with other business, platform, and technical owners internally and externally that can be leveraged to resolve blockers.Your primary responsibilities as a Leader within the broader Operations organization and Brokerage Product Services (BPS) organization will include: Actively participate in Operations Business Transformation journey which includes supporting the fundamental and strategic changes that need to be made in the organization culture to achieve significant improvements in its performance, competitiveness, and overall business value. Help foster a challenger, Agile, innovative, and customer-focused mindset, shape compelling strategies and intentional plans to get there, ruthlessly prioritize the most impactful work, create environments where all people can do their best, and model a collaborative, one Schwab approach, to accomplish great results.Articulate actionable insights across the broader corporation by connecting dots outside of own area of responsibility and oversees incident resolution processes, and scalability plans.Collaborate with other Operations Business Owners and Leaders around evolving the business operating models, influencing others to incorporate scalable process changes within and across Schwab, incorporating industry perspectives, best practices, and trends.Demonstrate best in class leadership outside of your team by helping others grow and develop, show compassion and support, and drive engagement across the organization.

  The ideal candidate will be equally adept at handling 'big picture' strategic issues and driving tactical execution of key initiatives. Candidate should have:

  10+ years of experience leading development of IT products and systems in a large, complex enterprise environment, and developing product(s)/platform roadmaps.5+ years of experience managing Product Owners and Business Analysts preferred.Confidence in presenting both strategic and tactical vision to all levels of leadership, stakeholders, and teams for both big-picture planning and day-to-day management of project goals.Adaptive, time management, and good decision-making skills when dealing with multiple tasks, changing priorities, varying stakeholder styles, and project complexities.A bias for action and have a 'can do', results-oriented approach to business and the ability to overcome obstacles and successfully serve multiple constituents.Possess the ability to maintain focus and drive results in all development and project cycles and environments. Demonstrate adaptability to deviate from original plans or shift direction based on changing needs and priorities.Collaborative and leadership approach to solving for systems or service gaps; ability to internally represent the issues and challenges to business owners and partners; and ability to manage stakeholder expectations and provide outstanding follow-up and prioritization.Able to listen well, think analytically, strategically, and creatively to solve problems, and generate action through persuasion.Able to garner respect from your technology teams, lead and demonstrate value-add principles, and willing and able to get your hands dirty to get the job done.Able to gather information from multiple sources (internal, primary, and secondary research) and synthesize them to uncover trends that draw out relevant and actionable conclusions.Be able to conceptualize solutions that leverage current technologies through the understanding of industry trends, internal business drivers and client needs.Proven track record of leading and working with cross-functional teams to successfully implement strategic ideas.Strong interpersonal and client relationship skills. Ability to establish rapport with and influence multiple leaders and Schwab colleagues.A detailed understanding, experience, and appreciation for Agile values and principles, JIRA or related scrum tools.Excellent oral and written communications skills with internal and external entities.Advanced knowledge of Excel, PowerPoint, Visio and other MS Office Products and applications Bachelor's degree or equivalent business experience.

  Desired:

  Prior experience working within Brokerage Operations, IT Product Management, Product Owner, Project Management, and/or business analysis experience; preferably in Billing and or Trading.FINRA Series 7 and 63 Scrum, Product Owner, and or PMP certified
