  The typical starting salary range for this role is determined by a number of factors including skills, experience, education, certifications and location. The full salary range for this role reflects the competitive labor market value for all employees in these positions across the national market and provides an opportunity to progress as employees grow and develop within the role. Some roles at Liberty Mutual have a corresponding compensation plan which may include commission and/or bonus earnings at rates that vary based on multiple factors set forth in the compensation plan for the role.

  The Director I, Advanced Analytics will be responsible for leading and developing the adoption of analytics across Reinsurance.

  Supporting and enabling the portfolio management and actuarial heads to create meaningful exhibits, grow adoption in the Underwriting community and manage delivery of the central Management Information resource.

  In this role, you will be responsible for driving Underwriting and Actuarial data insights to improve business performance, growth and shape a shared version of the truth. You will report to the head of Data and Analytics and work closely with various stakeholders including Liberty Mutual Reinsurance portfolio managers, actuarial ,underwriting and leadership teams while managing deliveries from the central Liberty Specialty Markets Management Information team.

  This position may have in-office requirements depending on candidate location.

  Key Responsibilities: Create metrics that help drive decision making at the risk and portfolio level. This includes creating a "scorecard" to be measured on and against. Be the central custodian for using underwriting and actuarial data to ensure global consistency, with local implementation. Work with international offices and create trust in Central Management Information. Work with the Liberty Specialty Markets Data & Analytics Delivery team to ensure the built-out of a consistent Liberty Specialty Markets view of data. This involves identifying data gaps and finding external sources & analytics tools. Be the Liberty Mutual Reinsurance underwriting/actuarial Power BI owner. Be the Liberty Mutual Reinsurance Advanced Analytics Hub project owner. Develop the Liberty Mutual Reinsurance culture of data-driven decision making through training and education. Qualifications Bachelor's or Master's degree in a quantitative field such as Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, or Engineering. 10+ years of experience in data analytics, actuarial science, or a related field. Strong experience in data analytics tools such as Python, R, SQL, and Excel. Experience in Power BI required, Advanced Analytics Hub is a plus. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work with stakeholders across different teams and regions. Knowledge of the insurance and reinsurance industry required About Us
