About Director, Health Plan Operations Systems

  Note, requires a minimum of (3) days per week on-site in Brooklyn, Ohio

  Directs, plans, and manages systems development requirements and analytical staff to ensure the implementation, enhancement, and maintenance of the Company's essential business applications. Evaluates new technologies and assesses opportunities to leverage within our environment. Serves as change agent to enact organization transformations to improve the effectiveness and efficiency of operational resources. Provides strategic leadership that aligns projects with the Company’s Mission and Vision statements.

  Responsibilities

  · Establishes and executes on an enterprise operations systems roadmap for teams to support the Company's strategic vision.

  · Directs systems development requirements and quality testing teams ensuring alignment of IT resources with prioritized objectives.

  · Establishes and monitors team objectives and key results. Adjusts as needed, to support company goals.

  · Provides day-to-day leadership and management to maximize individual and team output.

  · Advocates, educates, and enforces all internal and external security and privacy policies.

  · Provides visible leadership which fosters and ensures a high degree of coordination and collaboration throughout the Company.

  · Performs other duties as assigned.

  Qualifications

  Education and Experience

  · Bachelor’s degree in health information systems, computer science, business, or related field.

  · Master’s degree preferred.

  · 10 years of progressive experience in health information systems, 7 years of which is in leadership, or equivalent experience managing health plan business applications and customer-oriented systems.

  Professional Certification

  · Project Management Professional (PMP) or other industry recognized certification preferred.

  Technical Skills and Knowledge

  · Advanced understanding of multiple applications development methodologies and best practices.

  · Advanced understanding of delivering and supporting technical solutions in various infrastructure domains.

  · Critical understanding of IT best practices.
