  Description:

  The Director of Events & Hospitality will report to the Regional VP of workplace services. This role will be responsible for managing the San Francisco Event team and the operations and strategy behind our largest campus in the Americas. The Director is accountable for managing a large team of event professionals, evolving our events programs in multiple dynamic spaces and maintaining the operational efficiency of our model. The ideal candidate will demonstrate exemplary leadership, people management, critical thinking, innovation, and multi-tasking abilities. They must demonstrate proven success in a dynamic and fast-paced environment with high communication skills. This position is part of our dynamic Hospitality and Events team and will oversee the organizing and planning of events across our urban campus.

  Responsibilities:

  Directly oversee and manage the performance of an existing team of multi-level, full-time Event ManagersSource, develop, and lead an Event team that is ready to execute to the highest standard of service. Retain talent through successful onboarding, coaching, and developing personal growth opportunities. Provide leadership in a customer service-intensive environmentChange champion supporting the company through rapid change and growthAlign and communicate with event managers across the globe with easeStrive for excellence in our day-to-day business, identify technology and process gaps and ensure decisions are data-drivenWill be responsible for providing business and organizational expertise to deliver a high-class experience to all guests and employeesUnderstand the Salesforce brand and product positioning with the ability to ensure consistent, on-brand messagingManage multiple, complex timetables successfully in a collaborative, fast paced environmentManage external relationships (agencies, vendors) and work with cross-functional internal teamsDemonstrate ability to lead, influence and work across organizational boundaries, including a broad range of peers and executivesExtremely comfortable with executive and C suite level interactions and support

  Required Qualifications:

  12+ years of successful event & project management experience planning large, complex events & programs (product launches, conferences, executive programs and trade shows). Preferably in a B2B, high-tech, fast-paced environment10+ years of experience leading successful teams of Event Managers in a fast-paced, ever evolving environmentExperience will be evaluated based on alignment to the Values & Behaviors for the role (e.g. extracurricular leadership roles, military experience, volunteer work, etc.).Self-starter, requires minimal supervision, is proactive, and can report to a remote managerExcellent problem-solving skills with ability to creatively negotiate demandsResults focused, customer driven, organized with attention to detail and a sense of urgencyAbility to assess and prioritize workload in a strict deadline oriented environmentExcellent customer service and interpersonal skills. Flawless written and verbal communication skillsAbility to work in highly ambiguous circumstances across a diverse set of team members, with the ability to seek and work towards clarityFlexible work style that derives energy and even thrives on constant evolutionProficient understanding of event technologyExcellent project management skills and a desire to improve current processesDeep comfort level with program analysis, measurement, reporting and pipeline impactYou are collaborative, have a healthy appetite for feedback, and thrive in high-pressure situationsAbility to work outside of traditional business hours and weekends as neededProficient at using the Microsoft Office Suite, Quip, Slack and Google DocsMust be willing/able to learn and use our internal Salesforce software applicationsAssist or manage special projects as needed

  For California-based roles, the base salary hiring range for this position is $181,300 to $262,900.

  Compensation offered will be determined by factors such as location, level, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
