Equity Research

The Equity Research job obtains, organizes and analyzes market-related equity information from internal and external sources. This job works closely with the firm's portfolio managers in search of investment opportunities for the firm's various equity research portfolios as well as covering existing portfolio holdings. Working independently under limited supervision, the job interprets data for equity trends and reports to management on new or potentially new product or service development.

Key Responsibilities and Duties

Researches securities of target industries and companies to provide investment recommendations.

Develops and writes equity research reports and publications to be presented to management.

Gathers data on competitors and analyzes their strategies, prices, sales and method of operation to facilitate recommendations.

Forecasts future trends with statistical data on past sales.

Develops modeling and measuring techniques utilizing mathematics, statistical methods or other principles.

Coaches and reviews the work of junior members of the team.

Base Pay Range: $112,500/yr. - $155,000/yr.

Actual base salary may vary based upon, but not limited to, relevant experience, time in role, base salary of internal peers, prior performance, business sector, and geographic location. In addition to base salary, the competitive compensation package may include, depending on the role, participation in an incentive program linked to performance (for example, annual discretionary incentive programs, non-annual sales incentive plans, or other non-annual incentive plans).
