  Director of Engineering - Anngrove

  Multi-team, multi-disciplinary responsibility for leaders, project managers & engineers tasked with the supply of existing Additive products & NPI's to support business needs.

  Ensures timely delivery of high quality, innovative existing & new products and technologies through close collaboration with multi-disciplinary operations teams including, maintenance, facilities AO partners & divisional GQO, thus enabling Stryker to win in the marketplace.

  Qualifications Knowledge Skills

  B.S in Engineering, Science or business discipline required or a related masters degree. 5-8 Years leadership experience or substantial engineering support or project management experience in a team-based environment is required. Experience in strategic planning, executing capital projects, managing new product introductions.

  Strong interpersonal, communication, influencing and presentation skills essential. Individual must possess strong leadership skills, proven ability to coach and mentor individuals in technical skills and people development areas. The individual should enjoy working in a dynamic and results driven team-based environment with flexibility essential. Demonstrated leadership, project management and engineering experience in new product introduction in a regulated environment preferred.Broad and comprehensive understanding of, experience in, and ability to mentor in one or more technical / functional disciplines. Self-starter with demonstrated efficient work methods, analytical & problem-solving skills, and the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment. Strong knowledge in project management tools essential. Strong analytical skills with a high problem solving and process improvement orientation critical. Requires an analytical, logical and strategic thought process. Experience of GD&T, process mapping, statistical methods and process/ product validations would prove beneficial. Excellent PC skills (MS Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Project). Excellent attention to detail.

  What you will do:

  Technical / Managerial Responsibilities

  Execute a robust talent offense, including management of a talent bench, for a department by attracting, developing, retaining, and engaging top talent while driving personal/professional growth of individuals, the team and delivering high quality results with passion, energy and drive. Lead and mentor others in driving positive outcomes to abstract technical, business, and personnel problems based the application of problem-solving and process improvement methodologies. Make independent decisions for program or portfolio level issues. Leverage strong listening skills and written / verbal communication to influence and convey complex business, regulatory compliance, and/or technical ideas to customers, employees, peers, external partners, and senior leaders. Lead a culture of diversity, inclusion, and belonging at a department level in hiring and staff development. Direct others leading high complexity projects and initiatives within or across business units, with responsibility for planning, budgeting, meeting project goals and adequately staffing with talent. Lead and mentor others in complex cooperative efforts across cross-functional teams and business units, influencing multiple technical areas of expertise and building key relationships, to drive innovation and ensure achievement of business goals. Establish department Objectives, Goals, Strategy and Mission for direct reports to support overall business goals. Demonstrated ability to communicate complex plans and technical information to team members and executive leaders across divisions. Proven ability to deliver programs or other business goals on time, on quality and within budget.

  Business Responsibilities:

  Drive culture of financial accountability across the team for multiple projects (Capex & Process improvement) and at a site level. As a key member of the Anngrove Leadership team, formulate and implement strategic plans to help achieve business metrics, drive the overarching Additive strategic plan and future direction of the organisation. Lead the strategy and execution of customer facing activities like clinical solutions, KOL (key opinion leaders) interactions, and customer centred research across business units. May maintain KOL relationships relevant to current and emerging product portfolios. Drive a culture of maintenance excellence across the engineering organisation in both maintenance and facilities, with a strong continuous improvement mindset. Be an effective partner across all functions in the Additive Organisation and deliver on associated product supply volume process improvements, new product introductions in line with Additive pipelines. Participate in and lead a cross functional Additive forums and process improvement initiatives. Champion emerging business opportunities considering synergies across multiple business units. Drive financial modelling efforts on new capabilities or emerging technologies and lead strategy and execution for multiple product segments / business function. Influence internal regulatory requirements and industry standards such as FDA and EU for development of medical devices and for regulatory submissions. Oversee and advise on design control procedures like design controls within the quality management system. Review and approve (or delegate) technical documentation and deliverables across a department. Ensure a culture of collaboration exists between the AO, NPI & Operations teams across the campus. Establishing a clear & collaborative handover process between all key functions& departments to ensure all projects are managed effectively and delivered in line with divisional expectations
