Director, Compensation, Benefits and HR Operations
The Director, Compensation, Benefits and HR Operations reports to the Chief Human Resources Officer of Medforth Global Healthcare Education as a member of the Human Resources leadership team. This individual will oversee compensation, benefits, payroll and HR analytics and reporting. This is a global role, providing leadership and support primarily for St. George’s University and University Support Services which includes locations including Great River, NY, NYC, Grenada, UK and UAE. This role supervises the Payroll Manager and HRIS and Operations Analyst.
Essential Functions
Compensation
Oversee and manage the annual year-end compensation process including merit and bonus planning globally.
Conduct market analyses as needed to ensure salary and bonus structures remain competitive.
Benefits Management
Oversee the design, implementation, and administration of employee benefits programs globally (USS).
Collaborate with external vendors to optimize benefits offerings and ensure cost-effectiveness.
Manage all invoicing for all appropriate vendors.
Payroll Management
Manage US payroll operations to ensure accurate and timely processing of payroll.
Manage international payroll with PEO partners for international locations in UAE, India, Hong Kong and Canada.
Collaborate with finance and accounting teams to ensure compliance with financial regulations.
HR Reporting and Analytics
Develop and maintain HR metrics and analytics to inform data-driven decision-making.
Generate regular reports on key HR metrics for executive leadership and stakeholders, including HR compliance and HR audit reporting and deliverables.
Manage HR operations and systems.
Will play a key role in HRIS upgrade in 2025.
Other duties and projects as assigned.
Essential Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
Knowledge of current and emerging practices and issues related to compensation management, implementing and administering global benefits and upgrading HRIS systems.
Organized, detail-oriented, self-motivated with the ability to multi-task and build relationships across various departments in developing forward-thinking solutions.
Ability to exercise sound judgment, operate with discretion and create innovative solutions.
Proficient with Excel, PowerPoint, and compensation and benefit systems.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, or a related field; Master's degree preferred.
Proven experience (10+ years) in a senior leadership role overseeing Compensation, and Benefits functions.
Experience in healthcare or higher education, preferred but not required.
Experience working across multiple geographies preferred.
Experience in a private-equity owned organization preferred.
Work Environment/Physical Demands
This position can be located either in Great River, NY or Remote.
This job is performed in a positive, creative and collaborative environment.
Hours and Travel
A typical work week is 37.5 hours Monday through Friday 9am to 5pm.
Flexible hours required to implement initiatives and execute deliverables.
The anticipated salary range for Director, Compensation, Benefits and HR Operations is $119,000 to $140,000. The final salary offered may vary and will be determined based on factors such as the job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and education of the successful candidate.
