  Job Description:

  The Director, Batch COE Leader will lead the center of excellence for batch practices for the batch cycles for Fidelity Enterprise. You will help centralize good practices that can be core and common solutions for workload automation, or more commonly known as batch. You will also help centralize and recommend solutions other than traditional batch solutions. You will work with architecture and application teams throughout many business units. In this role, you will be responsible for inventorying, analyzing, recommending, and implementing solutions to both optimize workload automation, or batch, practices and eliminate batch processing from mainframe, on prem, and cloud. If providing solutions to teams is what you want to do, this is the role for you.

  The Expertise You Have and The Skills You Bring

  10+ years of experience in application development.Knowledge of experience in architecture practices.Knowledge and experience commercial of the shelf workload automation, or batch, platforms. Control-M and Autosys.Knowledge and experience with Airflow, Astronomer, or Prefect a plus.Knowledge and experience of cloud concepts and technologies. AWS and Azure.Experience with batch processing alternatives, such as data-sharing, event-driven architecture, and streaming.Knowledge of application modernization approaches.Understanding of agile practices. Scrum and Spotify model preferred.Organized and effective communicator, making the complex simpler.Mainframe and people management experience a plus.

  The Team

  You will be on an enterprise batch team, within a larger Enterprise Infrastructure and Operations, responsible for the administration of commercial of the shelf solutions, application support for their batch cycles, and a center of excellence and modernization of batch practices. You will report to the Batch Modernization Leader and will focus on modernization and center of excellence efforts. You will get to act as thought partner with the Batch Modernization Leader, senior leadership, architects, admins, and engineers. You will help foster and collect existing solutions and help make pragmatic and innovative solutions.
