　　As a service leader and member of Consumer Interactive, the Director, Applications Development role will support all software, architecture, and DevOps engineering efforts and oversee operational management of several India-based and global teams. The role is responsible for assuring quality standards and best practices across on premise and cloud-hosted applications ensuring timely delivery of high quality, business-critical solutions and client facing services.

Your leadership skills include coordination and alignment experience across multiple business stakeholders and demonstrated comfort with platform transformation missions. As Director, Application Development you will provide management and operational oversight to all technical systems and make strategic decisions in a time-bound environment. How You Will Contribute &bull Partner with global TransUnion technical teams to build products and features aligned to the product roadmap using agreed technologies and tooling working closely with IT Managers, Tech Leads, Software Architects, and DevOps Engineers. &bull Provide technical leadership to your team, ensuring team has a clear understanding of the design of new products or feature enhancements/changes to existing product. &bull Oversee India-based counterpart roles or US teams for: infrastructure support, DevOps, production support, engineering, data engineering. &bull Ensure TransUnion design patterns, frameworks, and architectural standards are implemented consistently within the work delivered. &bull Take accountability for quality of the code and the effectiveness of the solution in production ensuring code is well-structured, maintainable and components delivered are testable. &bull Utilize critical thinking skills to help solve complex, technical challenges identified during the migration of existing solutions from on premise to the cloud. &bull As an organizational Director in TransUnion, ensure your team members are supported, providing the positive leadership and direction required to get the job done. &bull Own responsibility of managing resources and capabilities of your teams; ensuring adequate levels of resources available to meet commitments. &bull Managing the performance of your team members from an appraisal and disciplinary perspective. &bull Ensure knowledge sharing and relevant upskilling is in place for your team where required. &bull Collaborate closely with cross-functional technology teams using the Agile/SCRUM methodology. &bull Champion a culture of continuous improvement to enable process and team maturity improvement. &bull Possess a demonstrated ability to assess, develop, and retain talent, as well as draw additional talent to build the capacity of the team. &bull Mentor, assist and support less experienced colleagues as required. &bull Participate in quality assurance to ensure products are fit for purpose, meet regulation, and are performant. Required skills &bull 10+ years of commercial software engineering and leadership experience including complex programs and platforms. &bull Strong leadership experience, leading multiple teams, providing management and operational oversight, and making strategic decisions in a time-bound environment. &bull Strong bias towards delivering excellent customer experiences and the ability to lead teams to understand and empathize with customer needs across product, platform and services. &bull Leading the delivery of complex systems and distributed service-based systems. &bull Demonstrated ability to define and execute on long term application and process improvement initiatives. &bull Leadership and line management experience including managing the technical deliverables of others, managing appraisals and performance, and managing team capacity and absence. &bull Excellent organizational skills and demonstrated ability to prioritize and allocate work within team to support product releases. &bull Excellent communication and English language skills, with the ability to collaborate with teams based in the US and abroad. &bull Leadership skills and demonstrated ability to work with non-technical business stakeholders and align on priorities and requirements. &bull Strong sense of ownership of team commitments, deliverables and quality. &bull A passion for software engineering, high standards and the delivery of testable quality code. &bull Current knowledge of contemporary and new standards, technologies, tools, frameworks and methods. &bull Experience with test-driven approach to software engineering. &bull Experience with automated tests, builds and deployment. &bull Sound understanding and competency with release pipelines. &bull Experience knowledge sharing and mentoring junior colleagues. &bull Technical leadership providing day to day help to your team so that they understand the tasks required to deliver the best solution approach.
