　　Direct Support Professional - Residential

　　Full Time, 2nd shift, Wage $17.00-18.25/hr

　　These are a few of the things a DSP will do:

　　Provide training and assistance to the people who receive services in order to help them develop and/or improve independent living skills such as cooking, housekeeping, laundry skills, grocery shopping, etc.

　　Provide assistance and training to people who receive services to assist them in developing and/or improving personal care skills; i.e. showering, tooth brushing, toileting, bathing, etc.

　　Providing training in money management such as budgeting, banking and making appropriate purchases.

　　Administering medications and documentation according to OPWDD and agency procedure.

　　Completing documention on the computer according to OPWDD and agency procedure.

　　Accompanying people who live in the homes to the grocery stores and other stores for on-site training in purchasing.

　　Transporting people who receive services and assisting with appointments, recreational and/or other activities as needed.

　　Requirements

　　High School Graduate or GED

　　A valid driver’s license and good driving record acceptable to the Agency’s insurance carrier.

　　Must be able to lift 50 pounds and not have any lifting restrictions which would prohibit assisting with toileting, transfers, physical intervention, lifting, etc.
