　　This is a rolewell suited to an ambitious professional, looking for the next step in theircareer. As a Buyer you will:

　　Purchase Materials to supportproduction and service in line with business needs.

　　Maximise use of ‘Lean Supply’ methodsto meet delivery and inventory objectives.

　　Monitor key metrics in the areas ofon-time delivery, inventory, cost, quality and service to achieve agreedtargets with suppliers.

　　Lead all significant issue resolutionprograms with suppliers, with Engineering and Quality

　　Conduct business reviews withsuppliers to ensure that performance is to target and any requiredimprovements are agreed

　　Contribute to the site Productivityprogram through the implementation of cost reduction projects andtransfers.

　　Work with Strategic Procurement toadvance the performance and optimization of the supply base.

　　Requirementsto succeed in this role

　　Batchelor’s degree in Business,Procurement, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related discipline(QQI level 8).

　　Minimum of 5 years professional experiencewithin Procurement, preferably within a manufacturing environment.

　　Experienceof dealing with a broad range of supplier organisations across Europe,Asia and North America.

　　Ability tointeract with and influence suppliers at a senior management level, tomanage escalations.

　　Establishedcommercial mind-set with the ability to assess and conclude businessdecisions with suppliers
