Responsibilities:
This position manages the material forecasts for three operating groups in the Electronic Maintenance Division. Responsibilities include ensuring that the baseline forecast falls within budget; assist subdivision managers in the procurement of needed parts and materials to carry out required responsibilities; serving as the liaison between the Division and MTA C & D management to ensure that needed Materials are acquired on a timely basis; managing EMO inventory at NYCT warehouses, satellite storerooms and in-house facilities by working with material planners in each of the of the subdivisions to forecast , determine appropriate levels of month to month usage of materials and manager some support contracts.
The selected candidate will work with both internal and external customers, including EMO operating groups, Supply Logistics MOW Engineering; serve as the Property Control Officer for division; assist operating groups with requisitioning for contracts, defining Scopes of Work and ensuring timely payment to vendors; maintaining divisional material databases; providing management reports as necessary and supporting the budget process of the Division as needed.
Education and Experience
A bachelor’s degree from an accredited college in Business Administration, Finance, Systems Analysis, Marketing, Engineering or a closely related field of study and eight (8) years of full-time related experience, of which five (5) years must have been in a managerial/supervisory capacity; or a satisfactory equivalent.
Desired Skills:
Minimum of five years of experience serving in an analytic or material control function in a public agency.
Understanding of Supply Logistics practices and procedures, including the use of associated forms and documentation such as G-10 and G-13 forms.
Strong analytic skills.
Working knowledge of the Commodity Management System (CMS) and Peoplesoft (Requisition and Payment functions).
Familiarity with NYCT budget process.
Knowledge of MTA Rules & Regulations.
Proficient in the MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
Strong written, verbal, project management and interpersonal skills.
