NBCUniversal is hiring an Associate of Content Merchandising & Operations to join a rock-solid team responsible for project managing live streams, replays, playlists and highlights from an array of sporting events across the Peacock service. We are seeking a cool-headed, detail-obsessed operator who is adept at managing the ebb and flow of a massive schedule. The ideal candidate will have demonstrable experience driving engagement with complex marquee events, but must also be able balance that experience with additional curation of content for niche fanbases across dozens of global sports.
The Content Merchandising team is tasked with curating the Peacock content offering across all products and audience segments, including merchandising live events and related publishing operations. It is a 24/7 operation responsible for updating content based on performance, programming tactics and events unfolding in real time, working in coordination with the Video Operations, Product, Marketing and Customer Support teams in addition to other stakeholders.
The successful candidate for this role will bring hands-on experience managing complex digital publishing projects - including digital streams from live televised sports events – along with an aptitude with a variety of content management systems and a sense of personal responsibility for the accuracy of their work. To excel in this role, you must have the ability to work in a fast paced environment, set and meet deadlines for publishing large volumes of content, own the project management of assets and logistics for multiple events, prioritize based on data and communicate fluently with Video Operations, Product, Marketing and Programming teams.
Responsibilities
Manage complex package of user facing imagery for all live events
Assign necessary metadata to all live events
Collaborate with the Creative Metadata team to ideate on image creation and athlete options for SLEs and sports experiences
Monitor rosters and active/inactive changes across all sports to ensure accurate imagery exists in real-time
Assisting in the daily curation of the Sports page within the platform experience, taking on specific sporting curations and serving as back-up for the Content Merchandising Manager (Sports)
Responsible for near 24/7 coverage depending on live events and priorities, ensuring operations and promotions have no issues and functioning as the first line of triage when incidents occur
Monitor production bridges for high profile weekend and evening events, both sporting and entertainment
Evaluate incidents to identify immediate solutions and work with the Impact team to escalate issues to the proper departments if necessary
Research and report on all sports streamed within Peacock, functioning as the subject matter expert to help the team understand details when necessary
Assist in coverage for the Content Merchandising team
Assist in editorial setup for functionality testing request across the platform to help ensure product features and enhancements release successfully
Requirements
Minimum of one year of experience working in title operations or publishing at a large-scale editorial, e-commerce, or video service.
Previous experience working in entertainment or social operations
Previous experience working on live streamed events and live streaming operations preferred
Demonstrable ability to manage an ever-changing content pipeline 7 days a week
Exhibit excellent organization and communication skills, attention to detail and the ability to clearly and concisely articulate workflows and concepts for a variety of audiences
Proactively identify opportunities to adjust processes for efficiencies. Help develop strategies and procedures for continual improvement for editorial operations
Excellent writing and presentation skills
A passion for sports, news, television and movies.
Ability to work holidays, weekends, late nights and whenever sports happen around the world
Hybrid: This position has been designated as hybrid, generally contributing from the office a minimum of three days per week.

Salary range: $65,000 - $75,000
