SUMMARY Overall responsibility for building and grounds including reception, security, maintenance. Responsible for the day to day maintenance and up keep within a complex corporate environment and a warehouse totaling 250,000 sq.ft.
FACILITY MANAGER ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES - Develop the facilities action plan. - Obtain the necessary business permits. - Control the total maintenance of facility. - Maintain a preventative maintenance program including heating, air conditioning, maintenance and repair of buildings and equipment. - Build-out, space development, and renovations for multiple facilities. - Relocations of offices and cubicles, furniture standards and acquisition of furnishings. - Oversee projects completed by outside contractors. - Coordinate and communicate build-out activity with employees, building management and contractors while maintaining a fully functioning office with minimum disruption. - Track and process invoices and all other payment-related documents from architects, contracts and consultants. - Interface with company executives, department heads, and technical support in analyzing, defining, and meeting the companys space needs. - System administrator for AAR Corp Access Control System. Overseeing complete Security and Fire system. - Facilitate plan for fire evacuation and disaster response. Serves as facility Emergency Response Coordinator. - Responsible for hazardous waste disposal programs. - Maintain up to date records for all state, federal, and insurance semiannual and annual inspections. - Arrange and coordinate all moves. - Oversee outsourced mail room and cleaning company. - Recommend and order copiers and fax machines for building. Arrange for installation and continue to support copy and fax machines in other buildings in the United States. Support fax machines at Chairmans and CEOs home. Provide information and assist with the purchase, lease or repair of copiers and fax machines. -Place orders for company forms and envelopes. -All other duties as assigned.
SAFETY COORDINATOR ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES -Write and update AAR Wood Dales (site specific) health and safety written plan required by OSHA -Write the program -Have the program approved -Post the program to myAAR -Ensure program is approved, reviewed annually, and posted on myAAR with the new year date -Administer revisions (ongoing) -Administer health and safety training for the Wood Dale Facility -Create and maintain a health and safety orientation for new employees -Conduct monthly Wood Dale Safety Committee meetings -Administer OSHA, state, and federal heath and safety requirements including document and file required information -Identify local, state, and federal heath and safety agencies with jurisdiction over the facilitys operation and identify a contact person at each agency -Ensure that both significant events and corrective /preventative actions are entered into the Enterprise Corrective Action Tracking System (ECATS) -Ensure all employee injury data is reported, investigated, and recommendations for corrective actions are entered into ECATS and tracked to completion -Ensure that appropriate action is taken for discovered deficiencies and responses are in accordance with established procedures and entered into ECATS -Attend and participate in the corporate environmental health and safety steering committee quarterly meetings -Conduct all required health and safety training at the business unit

Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE Bachelor of Arts degree (B.A.) or Bachelor of Science degree (B.S.) from four-year college or university; or eight years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
