Job Description: Job Profile Summary Responsible for training and leadership of digital print staff, performs document and graphic image downloads from various electronic and networked sources to print according to customer specifications Essential Duties and Responsibilities Responsible for moving work throughout the department as efficiently as possible while adhering to internal and customer SLA's Writes and gives yearly reviews for all direct employees Holds required monthly safety meetings for direct employees Handles timekeeping as well as verbal communications for direct employees (workplace or workflow changes); handles disciplinary actions as needed Responsible for reporting employee time/cards and information for machine downtime using sharepoint site Ability to troubleshoot and analyze equipment and/or workflow issues; contacts necessary technician(s) for equipment issues unable to be resolved Ability to work within multiple job management software applications simultaneously Assists in cross-training and labor utilization of all digital employees; keeps all employees on task at all times Assists in creating workflows for new clients and/or projects Manages house stocks and metered supplies; submits requisitions for ordering of toner and other digital print supplies Consults with other department leads/supervisors/managers regarding any workflow changes or issues Assists in setting up media catalogs, transactional modes, and/or hot directories Assists in the interviewing process of potential employees Ensures all proper preventative maintenance is occurring on digital devices (CMT, spiral cleaner changes, ORIS scanning etc.) Works with PHI & PII and conforms to all HIPPA standards and guidelines Keeps department documents up-to-date and in accordance to ISO requirements Must be able to handle a demanding work environment and stressful situations in calm manner Keeps the manager advised and informed in regards to all matters relevant to the job Responsible for understanding, operating and updating all processes Enforce all necessary quality checking Assures that all paperwork is handled properly Facilitate all necessary training for staff Contact person for all order inquiries: Investigates questionable orders and tracks down orders that are mismatched/misshipped. Operates equipment as needed Back up to Bindery Supervisor Performs other duties as assigned Extensive hands on experience with both color and black and white digital print equipment Read work orders and follow instructions accurately Ability to do basic math calculations Communicate clearly both verbally and written Experience in high volume, high pressure print production environment Experience with variable information workflows Understands quality, production output and productivity within the department Skilled with digital front ends Working knowledge of desktop application and color correction, color calibration process and instruments, color management and ICC color profiling Recognize issues and knowledge of paper stocks Ability to troubleshoot, analyze and solve issues with limited supervision Meet and exceed set quality standards Additional Duties and Responsibilities iGen or other color certifications preferred Proficient in Adobe and Microsoft programs Ability to interact with internal/external clients/customers in a professional manner. Miscellaneous duties as assigned.
