Provide assistance in all food functions as directed and instructed inaccordance with established food policies and procedures. DescriptionPrepare and serve meals as necessary in a timely basis in accordancewith established portion control procedures. Maintain a clean workstation in accordance with sanitary regulations. Examines diet ordersfaxed to dietary office and makes changes as needed. Processes new dietsand changes as required. Gives food requirements information to kitchenpersonnel/assist cook with meal preparation. May answertelephone/intercom calls/computer requests and relay information tokitchen concerning meal changes, complaints, or patient discharge. Mayprepare and deliver nourishments to unit pantries. Dispose of food andwaste in accordance with established practices. Collects food trucks,trips trays and washes dishes according to facility policy. Serves foodaccording to the patient / resident dietary needs. Must maintain theconfidentiality of all resident care information including protectedhealth information. Report known or suspected incidents of unauthorizeddisclosure of such information; and adhere to Client?s rights. Performsother work-related duties as requested. Consistently provides serviceexcellence to all patients, family members, visitors, volunteers andco-workers in a manner that reflects JML?s commitment to CARES:compassion, accountability, respect, excellence and service.Qualifications Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand theEnglish language. Must possess the ability to make independent decisionswhen circumstances warrant such action. Must possess the ability to dealtactfully with personnel, residents, family members, visitors,government agencies/personnel and the general public. Must be able tofollow oral and written instructions. Must maintain the care and use ofsupplies, equipment, the appearance of work areas, and perform regularinspections of food service areas for sanitation, order, safety andproper performance of assigned duties. Must have patience, tact,cheerful disposition and enthusiasm, as well as be willing to handleresidents based on whatever maturity level they are currentlyfunctioning. Must possess the ability to seek out new methods andprinciples and be willing to incorporate them into existing foodpractices. Must not pose a direct threat to the health or safety ofother individuals in the workplace. Must be able to lift a minimum of 50pounds and meet all other Physical and Sensory requirements of the job.Schedule Details: 40 hrs. per week, Rot Days, Occ Weekends & OccHolidays
