Description/Job Summary
Offers nutrition assistance to the residents of a healthcare/nursing facility.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Helps prepare the food for the residents and assist any residents that may need assistance with their meals.
Works along with the Dietician to prepare meals.
Assists in clean up, kitchen maintenance and setting up and taking down the dining areas.
Other job duties include delivering food to residents' rooms, preparing and serving snacks and taking inventory of food and kitchen supplies.
Along with physical skills, must be compassionate and patient when working with elderly residents, as well as the residents' family members.
Assures compliance with all sanitation and safety requirements.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Additional Responsibilities:
Understand and follow employee handbook, policy and procedures, and timekeeping requirements.
