Diesel Technician

　　Description

　　We are looking for a talented Diesel Technician to join our team in Bronx, NY.

　　In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:

　　Complete repairs on engine products in a service shop

　　Perform maintenance/repairs utilizing diagnostic tools.

　　Maintain detailed records of serviced vehicles.

　　Adhere to Cummins Health, Safety & Environmental policies.

　　Ongoing development/certifications on new and existing Cummins products

　　Maintain own tools.

　　In order to be successful in this role you will need the following:

　　(Entry):

　　Primarily engaged in maintenance or basic repairs/diagnostics

　　Requires direct supervision and review of workmanship quality.

　　(Intermediate):

　　Completes complex internal engine repairs.

　　Performs engine overhauls with limited direct supervision.

　　(Advanced):

　　Ability to troubleshoot with limited/no support from diagnostic tools

　　Larger more complicated engine rebuilds.

　　Mentor junior technicians including technical support and documentation.

　　Education, Licenses, Certifications

　　Apprentice Trained Engine Technician (Preferred)

　　Vocational diploma from relevant technical institution

　　Locally valid driving permit (Preferred)

　　This position may require licensing for compliance with export controls or sanctions regulations.

　　Experience

　　Intermediate level knowledge of and/or experience with engine products

　　THIS IS A UNION SHOP.

　　Shop is open Monday - Friday from 7AM - 5:30PM w/ 2 Shifts. Must be able to work either 7AM - 3:30PM and 9AM - 5:30PM Shifts to be considered.

　　This position does not require any Department of Transportation (DOT) related pre-screenings

　　This position does not require a CDL but would be nice to have

　　Base salary rate commensurate with experience. 　　SALARY RANGE

　　Level I - $32.75

　　Level II - $37.88

　　Level III - $42.95
