Diesel Technician

　　Description

　　$5,000 Sign On Bonus.

　　We are looking for a talented Diesel Technician to join our team specializing in engine repairs for our Distribution Business Wichita, KS.

　　In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:

　　Complete repairs on engine products in a service shop

　　Perform maintenance/repairs utilizing diagnostic tools

　　Maintain detailed records of serviced vehicles

　　Adhere to Cummins Health, Safety & Environmental policies

　　Ongoing development/certifications on new and existing Cummins products

　　Maintain own tools

　　In order to be successful in this role you will need the following:

　　(Entry):

　　Primarily engaged in maintenance or basic repairs/diagnostics

　　Requires direct supervision and review of workmanship quality

　　(Intermediate):

　　Completes complex internal engine repairs

　　Performs engine overhauls with limited direct supervision

　　(Advanced):

　　Ability to troubleshoot with limited/no support from diagnostic tools

　　Larger more complicated engine rebuilds

　　Mentor junior technicians including technical support and documentation

　　A current valid CDL is not required for this role.

　　This role requires a 5 year motor vehicle report, free of major violations

　　This role is subject to Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) drug and alcohol testing requirements and on going random drug and alcohol testing

　　This role requires applicant to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical

　　This role is subject to Department of Transportation (DOT) driving regulations including Hours of Service and Electronic Log Booking Device use

　　Federal law requires operators of commercial vehicles to be 21 years of age or older, applicant must be 21 years of age

　　Compensation and Benefits Base salary rate commensurate with experience. 　　Please note that the salary range provided is a good faith estimate on the applicable range. The final salary offer will be determined after considering relevant factors, including a candidate's qualifications and experience, where appropriate. Salary range min $25 hr. - max $38.00 hr.
