As a leader in the Technology & Data organization, reporting to the Enterprise Tech & Platform Delivery lead, this global role will be responsible for revolutionizing the way we securely build, test, and release products that fuel our business at its core, by instituting industry leading practices to enable a DevSecOps development practice.
This global role will provide the critical structure required to drive rigor in the technical execution to deploy, manage, and support a portfolio of products & platforms that fuel the core of the business across areas including Commercial, Sales, R&D, Supply Chain, Corporate (e.g. Finance, HR, Legal, etc.).
This leader will have the unique opportunity to grow and scale a diverse, credible team of talented engineers who work in an agile fashion to evolve our portfolio of products and platforms.
Responsibilities:
Primary responsibilities
Design and create a playbook for DevOps enablement that drives an excellent engineer and user experience
Collaborate with technical leads to integrate an end-to-end design that's aligned and well documented
Help develop global teams of engineers, growing their knowledge and skillset
Work with the development teams to define CI/CD best practices and guide the deployment with a practical set of pipelines
Help design, deploy, and monitor development toolsets on AWS, Azure, GCP and similar cloud platforms
Manage teams to upgrade and scale systems to improve availability, reliability, and performance
Support other technical teams in monitoring operating efficiencies of the platform, and responding as needs arise
Designs, builds, and maintains a stable and efficient infrastructure to optimize DevOps service delivery across production, QA, and development environments throughout the development lifecycle.
Utilizes a consistent DevOps approach to improve all phases of the process and ensure end-to-end quality across functions.
Monitors, troubleshoots, maintains, and continuously improves building, packaging, and deployment processes.
Knowledge of deployment/configuration management tools like Jenkins, Maven, Puppet, or Ansible.
Knowledge deploying, configuring, and maintaining scanning tools like fortify, white source, Aquascan, or Prisma.
Experience configuring and utilizing version control tools like GIT, Bitbucket, SVN, or CVS.
Experience with programming and scripting with languages like Python, Perl, Bash, PHP, Java, Ruby, or C .
Experienced with network infrastructure, database, cloud and data center operations, and security protocols.
Implements automated infrastructure capabilities like backups, security tools, monitoring.
Strong knowledge of Linux and/or Windows OS.
Qualifications
Qualifications:
A Bachelor's degree minimum.
5 years of experience supporting DevOps practices with public cloud experience (AWS, Azure, GCP)
10 years in software development and proficiency in one or more programming languages
Proficient understanding of container technologies and strategies including Kubernetes, Docker or similar
Technical understanding of requirements of deploying in a multi-cloud environment (AWS, Azure, and GCP preferred)
Capable of managing vendor relationships including managing service performance, contract compliance, effectively engaging with service providers to course correct when necessary
Knowledge of the roles, processes, and tools to enable a high-performing DevOps practice
Exceptional executive leadership skills, including the ability to lead, coach, motivate and work through others to achieve desired results and outcomes
Prior experience working in a global engineering team a plus
