We’re hiring a Development Director in Dallas, TX. The director will generate revenue for our Go Red for Women fundraising campaign. This campaign includes are signature Go Red for Women Luncheon event.
In this role, you will be responsible for identifying and securing development prospects for the Dallas Go Red for Women Movement. This campaign brings together corporate partners, medical leaders, community leaders, and volunteers in the community to promote awareness of the mission of the American Heart Association. You will also plan, implement, and evaluate the event alongside your team and the Vice President of Development, Go Red for Women. This role will create a vision and strategy translating it into specific action plans for each corporate sponsorship account you manage. You will actively work with team members to grow existing accounts, secure new ones, and expand the volunteer base of the organization.
We offer a base salary with the potential to earn an incentive up to 25% of your base pay. The potential incentive is based on achieving certain team, market, and region revenue targets.
This is an office-based position that offers a hybrid schedule in a fast-paced environment with the main responsibility of driving revenue in support of our mission.

Responsibilities
As the GRFW Development Director, you will be responsible for a goal of $650,000 which can be achieved by:
Developing and maintaining relationships with corporate and community partners.
Driving new business development through selling sponsorships and generating participant income for the assigned campaign.
Developing new company and volunteer recruitment plans as well as driving income goals.
Recruiting and stewarding c-suite volunteer leaders based on nationally established methodologies.
Establishing relationships with philanthropic individual donors and foundations and achieving dollar results.
Monitoring participant fundraising trends and implementing proven strategies to improve income.
Building a network of significant volunteer partnerships to advance our mission.

Qualifications
3 years of relevant experience in fundraising, sales, or equivalent type of experience.
University / College degree preferred.
Demonstrated success in achieving assigned revenue goals.
Knowledge and ability to successfully identify, cultivate, recruit, and manage relationships with top-level level volunteers /customers.
Excellent interpersonal, communication, negotiation, and social skills; a self-starter who makes things happen.
High level of attention to detail.
Understanding and navigating corporate cultures to achieve goals will be invaluable.
Willingness to work outside of standard hours in support of your events, sponsors and volunteers which may involve some evening and/or weekend work as needed.
Ability to travel within your territory daily as well as occasional travel to other locations.
