Description:
This client is a not-for-profit medical system owned by the State of North Carolina and based in Chapel Hill, North Carolina at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. They currently are made up of 18 hospitals across the state of NC from Asheville to Goldsboro.
A consultant is needed to join the Desktop Support team within the End User Support team. This person will be on the projects team for EUS and responsibilities can vary based on the business needs – originally brought in for a Windows 10 deployment of 50,000 machines, this group acts as technicians who are deployed to new clinic set ups, technology deployments, support of the transition to remote workforce. They must prepare the hardware, image, deploy, configure and test all machines at both new sites prior to the ‘go live’ of the buildings where patients will be seen.
75% of this persons’ will be supporting projects with the other 25% doing break/fix tickets and service requests for post goLive support. Some projects could include collapsing domains, imaging and rolling out machines for Windows 10. They will also be spending some time supporting asset management.
Some of the break fix issues could be related to PCs, Printers and other peripheral devices (connectivity), why applications aren't running, putting machines into AD. They use Bomgar to do remote support, they have desktops and VDI. Vocera Support for their Voice Environment, and Empravada Badge Access. Citrix environment, some basic EPIC support as well.
Attitude, aptitude and a desire to make a difference in a healthcare setting are key for success in this role.
This role will be onsite, safety precautions are being taken.
