About Desktop Support Technician - $24/hr

  Kelly is happy to exclusively present a contract opportunity for a Desktop Support Technician at our client in Lake Jackson, TX.

  Need:

  At least 3+ years of general Windows experience.

  AS or BS in Technical degree is desired.

  Windows 7/10 expertise is needed.

  Details:

  This contract position is located onsite in Lake Jackson, TX

  6 - 12 month contract role (potential for extension)

  $24.00/hr

  OVERVIEW of DUTIES:

  Responsible for performing installation of hardware, hardware diagnostics, maintenance, troubleshooting and repairs.

  Also responsible for installation of operating systems, computer security software and application software.

  As needed, provide technical assistant to our user community with the configuration of peripherals like lab instruments, printers, etc

  Configure lab PC systems to IR/Dow specifications following documenting procedures

  AntiVirus ( SEP – Symantec EndPoint Protection ) and WSUS knowledge preferred but not required

  Configure, implement, and train users how to take image snapshot backups using Acronis software and monitor backups.

  Troubleshoot and solve computer hardware issues (hard drives, network adapters, RAM, interface cards, etc.)

  Troubleshoot and solve local area network connectivity issues on existing systems

  Troubleshoot and solve peripheral connectivity issues (e.g. USB/SCSI/serial interfaces)

  Additional Details:

  There is no ‘per diem’ with this position and must be able to work on W-2 hourly basis.
