Kforce has a client in Kennesaw, GA that is seeking a Desktop Support.Responsibilities: Perform intermediate (level I) to advanced (level II) administration of desktop-related technologies, including installation, configuration, system software maintenance, desktop monitoring, performance tuning and optimizations, upgrade, troubleshooting, diagnosis and repair, and support for enterprise production desktop technologies and back-office platforms in accordance with department policies and procedures Manage customer service requests using approved IT Service Management standards, policies, and procedures Administer appropriate levels of desktop services and related security controls to secure enterprise computing assets from vulnerabilities and threats (e.g., anti-virus, anti-spam, anti-spyware, etc.) Participate in relevant business resumption recovery activities of assigned areas and consult with external vendors for resolution Work with manufacturers and vendors to effectively resolve desktop-related problems related to this position Perform preventative maintenance and take corrective actions to problems delegating to other team members as needed Receive, screen, and provide requested technical support to end-users and/or escalate requests to appropriate IT staff via Service Desk or other communication media, using appropriate technologies and procedures to resolve issues Maintain professional written and face-to-face communications with employees and colleagues at all levels across the firm and in support of the company's mission and values Train and provide technical guidance to internal clients on hardware and software support issues Brief management and IT Team members of the status of deliverable services; document activities in accordance with departmental procedures
Requirements
Level 1 technicians require three (3) years of experience or an Associate degree in Computer Science from an accredited college or university and a minimum of one (1) year of IT experience Level II technicians require four years of experience or an Associate degree and two (2) years of experience Successful experience in an advanced desktop services role, delivering products and services at an enterprise level while supporting multiple end-users Extensive experience in complex troubleshooting, diagnostic analysis, configuration, and repair of new and existing desktop technologies and working in a team environment Ability to apply methods, procedures, practices, and processes derived from technical training and experience to effectively diagnose and solve technical problems from simple to moderate complexity promptly and effectively Proficiency in administering, installing, troubleshooting, diagnosing, and supporting intermediate to advanced business-specific client/computer endpoint technology-based business systems Have flexibility and availability to work alternate work hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays as needed
The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
