The ideal candidate has relevant hands-on experience managing infrastructure projects (up to thirty projects at one time across multiple states) and demonstrates a bias to action, logical problem solving, and mastery of a project's tactical details. Finally, they bring high energy and an optimistic approach to fully completing projects in a swift and quality manner.What You'll DoManage all phases of due diligence, design, entitlement, and utility coordination of Supercharger sites within a given territory. A key performance indicator is the number of sites successfully brought to a construction-ready statusFacilitate field site visits for due diligence on construction, engineering, utility, and cost. Provide site reports and sketches as neededReview title reports and surveys for ownership, encumbrances, and easements; assess construction viabilityPlan, coordinate, review, and approve legal documents and plans for right-of-way/easement/property acquisitionsMeet with zoning/permitting personnel to understand jurisdictional approval requirements and opportunities for timeline reduction. Represent Tesla and the Supercharger program at public meetings. Track and manage status of all needed approvalsServe as the liaison with utility company personnel to determine the best routing of primary electrical serviceDevelop and maintain professional relationships with utilities, authorities having jurisdiction, architects, and engineers. Activate process improvements and cost/timeline reductionsTrack the manufacturing of long lead time materials and partner with the construction manager to ensure a timely delivery to the job sitesWhat You'll BringAbility to travel (50-60%) requiredMinimum 3-5 years of project management, construction management, and/or site development experiencePrior work in EV installation/telecom/solar/retail development as a project manager, project engineer, or installer strongly preferredA bachelor's degree in construction management, Engineering (civil/mechanical/electrical) or equivalent strongly preferredDirect utility experience is a plusStrong understanding of AC and DC power, transformers, circuit protection, single-line electrical and mechanical diagrams, and construction drawingsProven record of managing and delivering multiple simultaneous projects ahead of schedule, while adhering to the highest quality and standardsAdvanced knowledge of site acquisition procedures, including regulatory and permitting processesWorking knowledge of power integration and utility design processesThorough understanding of construction administration processes, including contracts, budgets, construction documents, change orders, schedules, RFIs, submittals, and material procurementWorking knowledge of utility design processesSkilled in reading, understanding and redlining zoning and construction drawings, including utility designs and power distribution detailsAccountable to cost implications of construction design options and able to make cost-efficiency recommendationsAptitude in communicating and building relationships with property owners, local jurisdictions, utility companies and other stakeholders throughout the project cycleAbility to function autonomously, working independent of a support staff, without formal requirements documentation, in a fast-paced environme
