Job Summary This position is a SystemsEngineering position with responsibility for overseeing, coordinating,and conducting Human Factors Engineering work across Harley-DavidsonMotor Company. The ideal candidate is passionate about the vehicle ANDthe customer, seeking out solutions to provide and continuously improvethe Harley-Davidson motorcycle experience for our customers and dealers.This position resides within OE Engineering and will focus on thedevelopment of highly desirable new systems and vehicles. The individualin this position will also be involved with projects from other parts ofthe organization such as Current Product, Parts & Accessories, DigitalGrowth and others. Job Responsibilities Perform Human FactorsEngineering within the Systems Groups and partner with others in theorganization to oversee and prioritize HFE work. Support the creation,delivery, and measurement of vehicle / system HCI and ergonomicrequirements. Leverage statistical methods, HFE information, and studyresults to provide recommendations for design optimization to projectteams to enable meeting HFE requirements. Plan and execute usabilitytesting for vehicle programs, including driver distraction testing,iconography studies, app testing and more. Research and create designconcepts and interaction maps for vehicle systems such as displays.Involvement with UX/UI design activities across project teams and otherstakeholders. Conduct ergonomic testing at the vehicle and system levelto enable design selection and maturation. Support project teams andother stakeholders with research and information to aid in thefulfillment of vehicle / system HCI and ergonomic requirements, as wellas human performance.
