Description:

　　Special Order Designer to support the ETO (Engineered To Order) Group. Group does knock off of standard products with complexity ranging from seismic considerations, color changes, electrical changes, special coatings, UPS, etc.

　　Job Responsibilities:

　　The candidate will be responsible for the creation or modification of design concepts within the Creo environment for Carrier Charlotte air cooled packaged product products. This includes working with documents, drawings and bills of material in a variety of formats.

　　Working knowledge of manufacturing fabrication and assembly methods;

　　Design of Part Modeling, Large Assembly Modeling, Sheet-Metal, Piping.

　　Manage data change and version controls;

　　Design of Part Modeling, Large Assembly Modeling, Sheet-Metal, Piping.

　　Manage data change and version controls;

　　Effective utilization of engineering design tools (Creo, Windchill, ProjectLink, Bill of material system, SharePoint)

　　Demonstrated creativity in new product design and customization;

　　Strong design skills, engineering documentation systems and ability to work within fast moving engineering design team;

　　Coordinate design activities with local team and offshore design teams.

　　Experience:

　　Experience needed for the position includes but is not limited to the following:

　　Three plus years experience in mechanical design and design project management

　　Fully experienced with Pro/ENGINEER (3 years minimum; current Wildfire build)

　　Advanced Assemblies

　　3D Modeling

　　Sheet Metal

　　Piping

　　Drawing

　　Fully experienced with Windchill (2 years minimum)

　　Document Management

　　Change Management

　　Bill of Materials

　　Excellent skill and experience with drafting standards and procedures

　　Good verbal and written communications skills

　　Experience with bill of material structure and databases

　　Experience with sheet metal design and manufacturing processes

　　Experience with piping design and manufacturing processes

　　Previous relevant job history experience, especially HVAC product design and/or product sustaining

　　Some exposure to electro-mechanical control systems and components

　　Skills:

　　designer, Creo, Windchill, sheet metal, bom, b.o.m., ecn, BSME

　　Additional Skills & Qualifications:

　　BSME no longer a must have if they are skilled in creo. 3+years exp. with CREO, bill of material, Windchill, Change Management, Product customization experience a plus

　　Education:

　　Preferred - BSME or BSMET degree in Engineering or related technical field of study with minimum of 5 years drafting/design experience

　　Masters would be a plus

　　FEA a plus

　　project engineering exp a must - ability to manage 1-5 others and lead a project

　　Large manufacturing assembly - Heavy industrial - not plastics and consumer products
