  Reference #: 2023-61876Basic QualificationsBachelor's degree in Engineering, or a related Science, Engineering or Mathematics field, plus a minimum of 10 years of relevant experience; or Master's degree plus a minimum of 8 years of relevant experience.CLEARANCE REQUIREMENTS: Department of Defense Secret security clearance is required within a reasonable pereiod of time. Applicants selected will be subject to a U.S. Government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. Due to the nature of work performed within our facilities, U.S. citizenship is required.  Responsibilities for this PositionRelocation and Sign On Bonus Available.As a DPME, you will lead, mentor, and motivate multi-disciplined engineering team consisting of Mechanical Engineers, Electrical Engineers, Systems Engineers, Software Engineers etc. You are expected to accomplish the following Key Performance Objectives.

  Key Performance Objectives:Work closely with the Senior Deputy Program Manager of Engineering (DPME), Chief Engineer and Business Area Manager to plan, authorize, and monitor the engineering work (including providing strong leadership to ensure all events occur as planned).Oversee Torpedo program technical performance (aligned with cost, scope, and schedule) for all engineering efforts to ensure project requirements are validated, integrated, tested, and verified, resulting in high quality deliverables developed and delivered on time.Plan, authorize, and monitor the engineering work (including providing strong leadership to ensure all events occur as planned)Staff the project team (along with the Senior Engineering Manager and Director of Engineering) with the appropriate engineering personnel.Develop and maintain engineering plans, risks, and opportunities, follow change management processes, and ensure all engineering processes adhere to GDMS standards and practices throughout the life of the project. and maintain engineering plans as required by the project.Conduct monthly engineering status reviews and provides material for the monthly program reviews. Implement effective corrective actions as required.Manage the resolution of technical issues, communicates the resolution to all affected parties, and ensures that the resolution is carried out in all the affected artifacts.Motivate the engineering team and provides a clear understanding of project goals. Reward the team members that drive the success of the project. Provide performance feedback and management for the project team.   Target salary range: USD $195,242.00/Yr. - USD $216,597.00/Yr. This estimate represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors (geographic location, etc.). Actual pay may vary.
