  Defense Aftermarket Manufacturing Liaison

  Coordinate and expedite manufactured parts in-house (both plants) and outsourced components (coordinating with Subcontract Manager).

  MAJOR  DUTIES:Track and expedite orders to ensure on-time delivery of parts while meeting requirements including budgetSupport Defense Aftermarket Project Manager in developing plans to meet scheduleKeep operations and aftermarket management informed of issues and opportunities with Defense parts shipments.Assist Defense Aftermarket Project Managers by coordinating outsourced manufacturing with Subcontract Manager to maintain visibility of outsourced manufactured parts and communicate need dates to Subcontract Manager and material availability dates to Manufacturing.Other duties as assigned.EXPERIENCE  PREFERRED/SPECIAL  NOTES:Strong written and verbal communication skillsStrong interpersonal and problem solving skillsBlueprint reading - must be able to read and interpret engineering drawingsComputer skills including Microsoft Excel and Word, and ability to learn ERP system.Knowledge of defense contracting adequate to understand and communicate manufacturing requirementsPlanning and production management skills to effectively develop and communicate a plan for successful order delivery meeting all requirementsPHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:None
